  • Can't Live without This !
My bf & I have very different work schedules and our relationship has been saved, thanks to this silent but very effective alarm! It has been working consistently for about a year now with no problems but we got the warrenty just in case. We'll always have one for him to wake up to for his early job. Thank you Amazon!! ... show more

  • First impressions
What everyone below me has said is completely true, so I won’t get into too much detail on a lot of its faults. In short, the app is god awful, the device itself could have a lot more useful tech for $150, heart rate tracking especially, and I can’t believe it doesn’t have a clock on it. It wouldn’t need to be fancy, a simple LCD quartz clock wouldn’t be hard or expensive to incorporate, because I find myself looking at it all the time (maybe I can shock this conditioning out of myself 😂). It’s also very annoying that it only comes in purple, but I assume it’s one of the ways they can upsell the Pavlok 3, which leads me to my next point… There is absolutely no reason to buy the Pavlok 3, it’s essentially the exact same thing and for $50 or (yet another) monthly subscription of $8, you can purchase all the app functionality that you get with the Pavlok 3. With a $20 coupon, the shock clock 3 was $145, so the one time $50 charge would still make it ~$60 cheaper than the P3. But, it’s pointless. As I said, the app is complete garbage. The habit forming and breaking functions are nothing more than notifications, something you could easily achieve with a reminders app. Seeing as it can’t actually know when you’re doing something that you want to break, it’s 100% up to you to be conscious of it, and shock yourself. Luckily, the shock clock has a button for exactly that as well, and you can use it whenever you want. So, save yourself the money and set reminders on another app, if that’s how you’d like to do it, and then zap yourself. But, I can’t stress this enough, you have to WANT to break/learn the habit, or else you’ll never actually follow through with the most important part, at least of that functionality aspect. The alarm is a different story, it’s the only function that can passively condition you, as long as you actually put it on and secure it in whatever way you need (probably not with the strap lock provided, that thing is NOT a barrier to removing the watch). I don’t know about you, but the shock on demand feature is just a bonus, and I purchased this solely as an alarm. And yes, it 10000% works. I have never woken up so fast in my entire life, as I have the past few mornings. I have it set at 65%, 5 shocks every 8 seconds, I close out of the QR code on my laptop and lock it, so I have to unlock my computer and find the code, all while being shocked to oblivion. By the time I turn the thing off, I have zero desire to crawl back into bed, and when I say that is LIFE CHANGING, I truly mean it. I can’t even begin to express the importance of that to me, it feels like I have suddenly gained a super power. Hence why I’m giving it 5 stars after all the complaints. Sure, it could be a lot better for the price, but look at it this way, the value is determined by its capability to change your life, not by its multi-functionality. From that point of view, it’s a no-brainer purchase for me. A simple app overhaul really is in order though so, if you’re reading this, Pavlok, please prioritize your existing customers before putting out “Pavlok 4”!!!!! ... show more

  • Better than old version
I had the original shock clock that had the most terrible app you had to use to program/ set alarms. I'm so glad this new one has a new app that is functional. It does work to wake you up as long as you don't just turn it off or remove it from your wrist. It is easier to wake up with the shot of a adrenaline you get from a zap pulling you out of a deep slumber. I think it uses sleep tracking to wake you up in the lightest phase of sleep closest to your alarm set time. I think that was helpful. I wish it didn't need an app and was under $50. I don't know why we can't just combine a cheap digitial watch with a shock caller for a reasonable price. No apps, just straight 90's tech would be great ... show more

  • Very dissapointed.
I'll think about exchanging this under warranty but I think it's working the way it should. It's just junk. Sometimes it's helpful, but when it comes to waking up, you kind of need this device to work all the time. I used the QR function that makes you wake up, move to another location, and scan the QR code to stop getting shocked. I woke up today with an error code on the app. I've only woken up about a third of the time with this device. I wake up super late looking at my up, looking at my alarm, and being super confused as to why I wake up without still getting shocked. I thought this device was going to change my life and the money spent with my situation was too much for something to work this poorly. My heart is broken. I know my problem is way worse than the average person but if this product actually worked, that I still woke up late but it still was working or until the battery died, then the problem is all me but this watch just doesn't work consistently. ... show more
