The product is great for trading such as on leach walking, bark control, preventing bad habits (biting, being on furniture) and especially no run away from being outside without a fence! My 2 corgi Aussies are small to medium size and they can go for larger dogs too. My remote stopped working about a couple weeks to a month of having it after charging, but after contacting customer service they were very supportive, wonderful, patient and understood my situation. I did receive a new remote within 5 days! THATS AWESOME! I am extremely please with this product and you will too. My grandma has even purchased one for herself after seeing the results after the first day it had on mine! This is a nice quality product ...the remote feels well made and smooth in your hand. The buttons are easily accessible and not complicated. The collar, once its adjusted for your dogs neck fits snuggly. Seems to get their attention (I don't have to use the shock but I did test it on a low setting and I can feel it :)). The only thing I don't like about these collars is how the receiver is held on to the collar. Its just a plastic piece that could easily break and if it does the collar is worthless. I would like to see something more substantial...maybe metal. I've been using this product for a couple of months with no issues so I hate to anticipate it will break but if it does...its trash. ... show more

This is my second set of these collars. The first set lasted a couple of years, continuously being utilized. This set I decided to use the little metal flange that come with the collars. You need to screw the posts in through the flange to the collar and tighten. I did this and at some point, the posts came loose and we actually lost them, not sure where, but that rendered the collars useless until I contacted their awesome customer service phone number, who mailed me out new posts for the collars! No out of pocket cost for the replacement parts and the rep told me there is a one year warranty on their collars! Highly. Recommend these collars, without them our dogs act out of control, and we RAREY if ever give them a jolt, we only alert them with sound only that the.collars are on and we get 100% compliance. These collars are really nice also because not only do you have the option to just alert with sound, you can go one step further and go to sound and vibration which doesn't hurt but let's the dog know you mean business and failing that, the last option is the jolt. I never "shock" our dogs just sound and vibration is all that's ever needed. These collars do work very well and we have pretty stubborn dogs (golden retrievers). Overall, I highly recommend them and the customer service is top notch! ... show more

Loved them so much we bought a second set! Only thing I don't like is that the remote isn't water proof. My son dunked it in the water hence why we bought a second set. Super simple to use and works over a long distance which is great for us! Battery life is great. They last several weeks before we have to recharge them! ... show more

Update 0ctober 8 2024, purchased April 20 2024. Switch between collar 1 and collar 2 malfunctioning now. When it's on collar 2 it switches the corrections to collar 1 without flipping the switch. Disappointed it's only been 5 months. Went from 5 to 3 stars since I'll still be able to get single collar function..for now Was using Sport dog collar on one and Bousnic brand on the other. Bousnic collar stopped working after washing due to skunk spray. Decided to try a double collar remote to not juggle two remotes. These are not used for sport just walking country roads/woods/fields. My dogs just need a beep sound sometimes to avoid drinking sitting water, eat cow dung, getting too interested in cars on the highway we pass by and maybe a reminder to not go off too far while frolicking. Vibrate or shock in case of emergency like coming in contact with wild animal. I threw the remote in the dog water bowl after trying the shock on my arm while holding it on high and put in some rice and it was fine haha. Not waterproof but quick dunk didn't hurt it and I won't be using in heavy rain so that is fine with me. First time I've seen a collar come with contact prongs for extra long hair (I don't, but could be nice for others) Also this is my favorite remote design. Sleek and easy to use and carry. I didn't like Bousnic, clunky but cheap feeling and more complicated. Sportdog is nice and waterproof but I like PatPet for my needs better...especially being much cheaper. The on/off function for collars and remotes is clear and easy (bousnic sounded off a LOUD beep when turning off..annoying) All in all I absolutely love and really hope they keep working and battery life stays good. ... show more

I was not expecting these collars to be nearly as powerful and effective as they are! My bf had a different type of shock collar by this brand and it was as intense as it looked, so I thought these would be less intense but thankfully - they look less intense but work just as well
