I really like this squat rack. Unlike most on the market it comes with appropriate J-hooks. These offer great flexibility for adjusting the height of the bar. The height of the rack itself is also great, tall enough for squats yet i can fit it comfortably in my basement. Build quality is what you would expect for the price. My only complaint is that it is rather narrow front to back. This makes doing bench press a little tight. Definitely doable. But would prefer another 2 inches so you don't have to think about hitting the front supports on the descent of the press. I still think it's a great piece, especially considering the price. But would like it more if it was a little bigger. ... show more

    • Nice rack at a great price
I chose this rack because I like the way it's built as a "cut off" full rack which gives extra safety when racking at the end of a set - I also like the bracing and structure of the safety bars. It's made out of sturdy steel which is "not quite commercial grade" but plenty strong for home use. It works will with my 300# olympic bar and weights - and only 20 bolts to assemble - I like it! ... show more

I bought this specifically because of the safety features, and I was not disappointed. Very solid construction, tall enough for me to squat (I'm 5'8", any taller and I don't believe it'd be tall enough). Well worth the money.

I am really happy with my squat rack and thinking about getting another one. The only downside is it's not the color red. Overall it is a good rack. Mahalo.

The media could not be loaded. This squat rack/stand was easy to assemble, I finished in about 20 minutes.It’s recommended for up to 600lbs but honestly I wouldn’t go more than 300-315. I’m 5’9” and the max height is perfect for me anyone taller definitely will have to bend down a bit to rack and unrack for squats. The only thing I don’t like is the weight hooks are small definitely would be better if they were deeper.Overall its Good for the price to do work outs at home. The owners manual says keep out of water and moisture, This is for my out door workout area so I will update in the future. ... show more

This makes a great safety bench for pressing. If you're a bit tall though you might want to look at a taller rack for squatting. Not all my numbers were punched out and that could be a safety hazard if you brushed up against one of them during a squat. I'll probably punch them out myself. I’m 510 and I don’t think it’s wide enough. If I I take on a wide grip while benching my elbow will scrape across the safety bars. Doesn’t. Feel good if you drop down quick. But it’s a decent rack and really easy to put together. 30mn tops.
