My current flood lights I've been using are 9 watts, 3000K "warm." These are only 2 watts more... 11 watts; but TEN TIMES brighter. The 5000 kelvin "daylight" white is insanely bright. Im using these over my driveway at night for security. If you've never used 5000K (color)... it takes a couple weeks to mentally get used to them. You will be shocked the 1st time. But if security is you're purpose, and not ambiance... no bad guys will stick around when these come on. You can't even look directly at them.. that's not exaggerating. Unbelievable they can now get prison riot lighting with a tiny 11 watt LED, lol. You've been told. Mine are perfect for what I wanted. To burn the bad guys retinas :D You probably won't like these for relaxing on your patio. That's NOT why they were invented. That's what (3000K) warm yellowish color is for. All kidding aside.. the majority of people get used to them, and end up loving them.. for the right purpose. But you will have to give it a little time! Give me a thumbs up if you found this helpful. The media could not be loaded. We is the reason for the lights to flicker like a strobe lights all 12 of them simultaneously. . Does anyone have an answer.

    • Regret This Purchase - Lights Blink Intermittently

These bulbs are not as bright as the incandescent bulbs that they replaced. The big problem is that they blink rapidly. The blinking is intermittent. They come on and start blinking like a rapid strobe light. Then after a few minutes, they seem to stabilize. Then after a few more minutes the strobing happens again. I am using these outdoors, but they are mounted in a protected area. So they are not directly exposed to the elements. My box said that they could be used outdoors. I am using these in a motion sensitive light fixture. I plan to replace these with new bulbs from a different manufacturer. The strobing is really annoying. I regret this purchase ... show more

Out of the box - very impressed with the quality of these bulbs. I installed 4 of the 6 (replacing CFL's). Instant on and a nice warm color. If they last, I'm in for a 10 rating. I may order 6 more because they're a great deal.

    • Bright! I saw the light.

I bought the 6 pack; twice. I bought the first set to check them out. It’s very bright white. I replaced some older halogen bulbs that drew 60 watts each. It would trip a circuit if I had a tv on AND 2 sets of motion sensor lights went on. I replaced those halogen bulbs with these led bulbs, and the problem went away! And like I mentioned before these are bright. They are very close to, if not even brighter than the bulbs they replace. I hope they last. I’ll update if any of these bulbs fail. ... show more
