    • The coarse works well for gel color removal.
I'm a newbie amateur nail person, and I've only been using an efile for a few months. I got a Pana safety bit (medium) a few months ago, and like it very much. I felt that maybe another bit would get the gel polish off faster. I do gel overlays and change the color out every week or two, using an efile. I bought the coarse 5-in-1 to see if it would work for removing gel, and I was pleased with my first couple of uses. It removes the gel smoothly, without gouging the nail. The shape makes it easy to get around the cuticle. While I'm fairly new to using a nail drill, I feel like I've gotten reasonably good at using it. Even with my nondominant hand, I managed to remove every last bit of gel without hurting my cuticles. The end of the bit isn't flat -- it has fluting on it, so it shouldn't cut too badly. I used it at around 15 to 20 RPM, and felt that was a good speed. I did slow it down a bit around the cuticles of the smallest nails when working with my nondominant hand, but it still worked. I felt it was easy to control how much I was removing and to remove the product smoothly. I'd definitely recommend this one. I feel coarse was the right choice for what I do -- removing a couple of coats of color gel from an overlay and maybe some stamping on top of that. ... show more

Works really well to seal cuticles i got the course bit. However it does not work well for removing acrylic bulk during soak offs. I tried both directions forward and reverse and reverse was the only one that worked and prevented the drill to twitch and go towards the clients cuticles or side walls. Not sure if i just need to get used to it, or get the XXC bit. Update: my first time using it, it took 2 hours to remove acrylic and soak off. Today removing the acrylic bulk took 25 minutes! This was by turning up the rpm on my drill to atleast 15,000 rpm. I also only drilled in the downward direction to avoid slipping near cuticle area. ... show more

I never write reviews but I had to with this one. Best nail bit I have bought to file acrylic nails. You don't even have to buff to apply top coat, but I still do. I'll be buying 10 more for daily use. Get it you won't regret it.
