This bed is real wood, very nice looking and sturdy! There was one board with a crack in it even though everything was very carefully packaged. Company sent out a replacement right away. Shipping for this replacement took a long time but this was because of delayed shipping, no fault of the company itself. Great product!! ... show more

My daughter and I assembled this in about 3 hours. We used hand screwdrivers, would have gone faster with power tools. The instructions were clear as long as you go through them step by step and take your time. They are visual, not text, so you do need to be able to understand a diagram. It seems sturdy and fits our need. It will be used in a guest room, so I do not know how it would hold up if used every day by an active child. My only complaint regarding quality would be that the drawer bottoms are very thin and will not support heavy items. They work well for storing linens, which is my use. ... show more

I had been looking for months for our son's first big boy bed. I must have read over a hundred reviews and I kept coming back to this bed. I'm so glad I did! All of the parts are SOLID wood. This is not a cheaply made piece of furniture by any means. It took about an hour and a half to assemble. This bed is very sturdy. My son is 36 lbs and loves to jump on his bed. The only drawback is that it is about 2 inches wider than the twin mattress. We purchased a $10 body pillow and it did the trick, honestly I would have done it anyway, gap or not. We purchased both the full size and the twin size a month ago and are quite pleased with both products. I don't know why another review called this furniture cheap as there is no plastic and no plywood. The wood looks different than Georgia pine, so maybe that is why. Took about 2 - 3 hours to assemble per bed. Only complaint is the lack of marking to clearly tell which drawer rods/rollers went where. Drawers are about 15" deep, 35" wide and 5" - 6" high. The products' delivery was very fast since the items arrived 6 days before the due date. All parts were accounted for and very well packaged. The bed and bookshelf are exquisite and outstanding in their original design, warm pine colors, and sturdiness. The slats allow for good ventilation. It took my daughter and me 2 hours to assemble the bed and bookshelf. For the slats, an electric screw drive is recommended. Both drawers are spacious and roll very smoothly on metal drawer slides. There is also useful storage behind the drawers. The bed and bookshelf are not heavy and, therefore, allow for easy transportation. Altogether, a perfect 10! ... show more

These are great beds. We got 2 for our kids. They were packaged extremely carefully and arrived without scratches or dings. They took a certain amount of work to put together, but it was well worth it. They're sturdy and look great. You'd have to pay a lot more money to get something higher quality. One thing to note, though: while these beds are made of "solid wood," the wood of probably most parts of these is still glued-together pieces of solid wood. In other words, don't expect these to be made of long, solid planks. Still far nicer than plywood, though. ... show more
