I have large South-facing windows. These curtains are useless with direct sunlight - blinds are needed for that. When the sunlight is indirect or clouded over, however, the curtains spread the light throughout the rooms, making them lighter and brighter, even at dusk. I also like the fluidity and fineness of the fabric. I looked at curtains at Target and their sheers were too stiff and coarse. I was afraid this would be the case with Amazon, because I couldn't touch the fabric myself. The picture on the website of the fabric swirled up convinced me to give it a try. I'm happy. The only downside is that they are not "wrinkle free". You do need to iron them before hanging - those creases don't just shake out. I've found this is always be the case with packaged curtains. Past experience with polyester sheers is that when you wash them (gently!), you can hang them back up while they're still wet. They'll dry in less than half an hour with little or no wrinkles - then you can call them wrinkle free. I would definitely recommend these. ... show more

I bought these for on my back patio. They are more of a semi sheer curtain, which I wanted. Sheer enough to see through but still have a wee bit of privacy. At this price point they are nice. I did wash and dry them before hanging. Washed and dried nice. except they did have some wrinkles. I just used a steamer and they came right out. ... show more
