These curtains really brighten the room. At night, they cannot be seen through from the outside even with the lights on inside. Two things to keep in mind: Most panels are 52 inches wide, these are 40 inches wide, so there won’t be as many pleats as with other curtains. These curtains were very low cost and I got exactly what I paid for… cheap curtains… but that’s exactly what I wanted. I will be using these very temporarily so they will work fine, but I would never buy them for a permanent situation. The fabric reminds me of bed sheets, very soft sheets, but very thin and likely not great for any type of privacy. I’m surprised at all the great reviews, but maybe the reviewers were using them temporarily, too. ... show more

These are more sheer than I expected. I wanted light to come in, but if you are covering a window you don't want people seeing into, don't get these. I got these for a large window in my bathroom and put window clings on the window for more privacy. These curtains alone would not have been enough coverage in my opinion. Great color and quality.
