The amount of paint is easy to control and with the different spray nozzles and the spray patterns are very helpful for addressing different areas of the space being painted without having to bend and twist to make it work.     • A lot easier than regular brush
I wished I would’ve tried this a lot sooner. This spray gun saves a lot of time and energy. Only thing is to play around with gun and get used to it first. I tried it on my metal gate that started to peel and rust. It’s a simple white paint so it was easy to spray. Just remember to have a long extension cord handy before you start the job because the power cord is short. ... show more

    • Completely Worth It
On some things, I'm a name-brand-snob. I've used a Wagner paint sprayer before, a couple of decades ago, had a decent experience, and would have bought a new model for my current house painting project. I saw this sprayer and decided to take a gamble. So very glad I did. This is a bare-bones thing. Go find some videos on how to use it, and learn some of the nuances that are common to sprayers. Other than those things (making sure the paint is appropriately watered down, getting the spray pattern and distance correct, not letting it sit for any length of time or it will clog), there is nothing negative on this sprayer. One quirk: the seal between the container for paint and the paint nozzle can sometimes not set correctly. This results in only spraying air. Just open the jar, adjust the seal (it is a flat piece with a tube attached), and you're good to go. Also be aware of which direction the draw tube is facing. Have the end towards you if you're going to be painting up, like on the ceiling. Oh, and make sure that you use the o-ring provided in the accessories. It makes a huge difference in performance - it works so much better with than without... funny that! Overall, great value for a bare-bones tool. ... show more

    • Takes time and practice
This spray paint gun is pretty good. It comes with different tips for different types of jobs. I like that it is lightweight and easy for me to handle. The cord isn’t very long, so you need to be close to an outlet. I practiced with water to figure out what tip to use for spraying the cabinet that I painted. This is my first time using a small spray gun. I have used the commercial spray paint guns with a compressor and this is so much easier for a small job around the house. It takes a bit of work to clean it. But I am adamant about cleaning painting supplies so I will be able to use them again. This even came with a pair of gloves to keep my hands clean while using the sprayer. Nice touch. I give this sprayer my two thumbs up and I would definitely recommend it for anyone who wants to have a lightweight and easy to use sprayer.     • Use it to spray seedlings
I use this to spray my seedlings in my grow room. I know this is an unconventional use but I have wrist issues and don't want to use a manual sprayer. I have also tried using other sprayers but they have broken in a matter of months. Time will tell on this one.

    • Worked great - most of the time
So I had a chance to do a portable closet. It was tricky getting the paint to flow right, once I got it right it came out nice and smooth, put down a real smooth finish. Had to adjust the paint mix (thinning) a few times and try different nozzles, My opinion, If the job an be easily done with a paint roller, that may be the easiest. Bit some things just don't lend themselves to rolling, in that case with a little tweaking, this would work well. Also I would probably not use it on small jobs, Cleaning it properly takes a bit of time. So between playing around to get the right flow, then all time cleaning it when done, may not be worth it. Side note: I also have another brand, pretty much same thing, that one is also a little tricky to get it right, I think that is just the nature of these types of guns. ... show more

I honestly expected it to not perform well, and I was pleasantly surprised! I believe the most important thing to consider is proper thinning of the paint. I used it with stain on a fence and it worked amazing well! It was very easy on the hand. I placed the extension cord over my shoulder and the process was very smooth. The cleaning was fairly easy, at the add I placed a little thinner in the cup and sprayed the thinner in a bucket and that help with the final cleaning. The (adjustable) mist was very consistent. It is a bit noisy and among with your other protection, I strongly suggest that you use ear protection. Overall, a very good spray gun, at an excellent price! ... show more
