These flow nicely, and have good color. They dry tough and don't smudge once fully dried. Great for hard, slightly textured surfaces like stone, wood, or textured plastics and painted surfaces. Not as good for very smooth surfaces like glass or shiny plastic. If you want to use them on shiny plastic, I've had good results treating the plastic with a heat gun first, or sanding it slightly with some fine sandpaper. These will stain clothes! ... show more

My daughter has used these on paper and on wood. The color stays put on each. It takes a few seconds to dry and a bit longer on the wood, but that's to be expected. Once dry though, the color is there for good. The tips are sturdy enough that you can draw in precise shapes and lines. This is much neater to use than paint and paint brushes.
