Ease of installation! Ease of setup! The video is really clear. Function of App is easy to learn and use. The main issue... you get 7 seconds of play back. If you are not watching live to record event then you would not have the entire clip. I paid the subscription fee of $137 for the year as 1) the feature of scrolling back through the timeline of events is nice as well as watching all of the video captured, and 2) this subscription covers the next 18 months of hardware warranty (being near the ocean this may work in my favor). A feature I like, when watching playback or live, you can hit the record button and the video is stored to your phone/ device that you are working from. The thing I don't like, if you move the camera around alot, the sky or other moving objects (bushes) can cause over pixelation (making that word up) and freezing of the video on the wifi. I may need to get better wifi.... Currently I shut camera off or have to go out and reposition the camera (if it is looking into the direction, the sky, which caused it to freeze in the first place). I am currently a fan. I may return SD cards since I am now using the cloud. ... show more

Unlike previous review, my 2 cameras were easy to set up out of the box. And quality looks ok. I don’t like the subscription service to the cloud but I believe there are options to NOT save to the cloud. But I do have questions 1) is this thing waterproof/water resistant 2) I was under the impression this thing tracks the movement and follows the triggered person/thing. Mike ... show more

The camera is a little fussy to set up and sometimes the app crashes while viewing video, but overall a good value. Video quality is good and sound is acceptable. What they don't tell you is that to get full functionality on theses cameras requires a paid subscription in the app. This should be printed up front. ... show more

    • App would not work
The camera powered up just fine. I downloaded the app (Yi Lot) and created an account. The app would not generate a QR code for the camera to "read". Therefore I was not able to complete the camera set-up. I deleted and downloaded the APP several times with the same result. I do want to complement Amazon tech support for working with me for 2 hours trying to solve the problem. It was a very good but unsuccessful effort with a very pleasant person trying to make the cameras work. I took a different approach to ordering a different light bulb camera. I looked a several of the same but different brands of the light bulb camera. I downloaded the APP FIRST to see if it would work. Several of the APPS would not work on my phone. When I finally found an APP that worked, I then ordered a camera that matches the APP. Current awaiting arrival. ... show more

    • EASY, even for this tech idiot
The cameras screw into regular ol' light bulb sockets which fit my needs just fine. The APP and PC software was simple to load, as was connecting the cameras to my WiFi. PAN/TILT controls are so easy to use, and i think the video is of tremendous quality. You can go full screen, or just a thumbnail view. You can control white LEDs to brighten the area under surveillance, and you can talk through the camera! I opted for SD cards (purchased separately) for recording.... now. There is cloud storage for 30 or 15 days of stored playback. I don't know if using THEIR cloud ONLY is a drawback (?) as i'm 65 and this is all "new" to me. Ya get a free week of cloud service, then it's $129 a year for up to 5 cameras with 30-day playback history, or $99 a year for 15 day's storage. So far, these cameras are 5-star for me. ... show more

I really dislike writing negative reviews but this product is not as it appears. There is a lot of pressure to join the cloud for a $99 plus per year fee. As near as we could tell you don't get the full product benefit without doing just that. The night vision was not very good. I did not find it easy to figure out as the instructions were faded and hard to read even with a magnifying glass. I will say the daytime view was very good. I would not buy the product again. The app was not user friendly. A more experienced computer literate person may have better luck. I feel the add is deceptive. ... show more

    • Cam is for live view, but you have to pay to see anything else.
Cam works fine. Live view is ok. Notifications and alerts work, but you can't view any saved videos that it records when your not watching it. To see anything recorded you have to pay for cloud service.
