I was a little nervous at first since these are about half the length of most sponges. I won't be an issue with the Mufga system with its drip system, but I can't get lazy/lax with the Idoo water level or the sponge might dry out. I'll see over the long run, but I think these are keepers.

Tried these in both a hydroponic setup and a regular seed starter setup. EVERY pod molded before seeds sprouted.

    • Finally the correct size for my IDOO hydroponic ID-IG-310
Most all of the other grow sponges are longer and narrower so they literally slide through the bottom hole of my baskets. I tried to find a different sized basket, and they didn't fit properly. What to do, I made do with the long skinny ones by wrapping the thin sponges with sponge. Ugh, a real Pain to accomplish. So finally someone produced a shorter and wider sponge that fits the baskets of this model from IDOO. I insert the sponge in the basket first, soak them in water and then insert them into the garden holes. It makes it easier to drop in the small seeds with my tweezers. I'd buy plenty of this size since who knows how long it might be before we can't find more one day. ... show more
