It starts working the minute you set the timer so you will have to hold your breath as you leave the room. This is why no video or pictures are provided while it was in use. O3: This machine rids the room of choice, of odors. I have a dog in my room and a cat in my daughter’s room. I placed the device on my entertainment table, got my dog out of my room, held my breath and set it to 45 minutes. I closed my door, hung the provided DO NOT ENTER sign on the door and went onto my balcony for 1 hour. When I returned, my room smelled like a swimming pool after the rain, and not one bit like my dog. In fact, this device used my air ducts for the A/C, and cleaned the odors out of my hallway, my bathroom AND MY DAUGHTERS room. As my cat stays in her room I was quite worried about him, but it seems that he must be in the same room as the device, to cause negative effects. Which I was thankful to learn. My Ginger Ninja 🐈 was just fine 😅😮💨. YOU MUST NOT BE IN THE ROOM! This device takes oxygen, O2, and converts it to O3. O3 is very thin air, think climbing up to high altitude, and the air gets thinner, but cleaner the higher you go. That is what this machine does. But you shouldn’t breath it as doing so will have you gasping for oxygen. So if you shouldn’t be in the room then no living animal, no mater what kind, should be in the room while it is on either! Please heed my advice and make darned sure that the cat, bird, dog, snake hamsters, gerbils…NOTHING LIVING IS AROUND WHEN YOU TURN IT ON. 💯 CONCLUSION: This is an awesome device to have. I will use it every few days or so, because it is too hot where I live for me to be outside for and hour everyday 🤷🏽♀️ It is well worth the money, and definitely should be used with great care. ... show more

I ordered this unit because it had a higher output of Ozone than the previous one I ordered. I have an older pickup that we are bringing around for the future driver in the family. When we picked it up a last year it had a musty smell in it as it had been sitting outside for many years and wasn't being used. We found a mouse nest in the cowl outside the cab but the nest was backing up the rain water and it found it's way down the firewall and under the carpet near the driver's feet. We cleaned out the nest sealed the leak and pulled the carpet up and let it dry thoroughly. The musty smell was still there and we couldn't get rid of it, short of replacing the interior. I bought one of these generators that put out 16000mg per hour of Ozone and ran it once or twice a week for a month. It did cut the odor quite a bit but after a few days in the heat, you could still smell the musty odor, not as strong but it was there. I bought this one that is a little more than double the output at 36000 mg/hour and have run it for the full 180-minute cycle and so far, I have not smelled the mustiness when I open the doors for two days straight. Hopefully it is gone but if not, it is almost gone. I may have to treat it one more time, but this larger unit seems to have done the job. I would recommend this but make sure there are no people or pets where you are using it. It does come with a hang tag to warn someone not to enter the area being treated and the instructions are pretty good. ... show more

My house caught fire and partially burned about 50 years ago. That's how I learned about ozone generators. We used ozone generators to almost entirely eliminate the odors left after the fire. I've had and used ozone generators ever since. When I remodeled my mountain home, mold damage was uncovered. I used ozone generators then in their other role - killers of unwanted problems like mold infestation. Ozone is a highly reactive form of oxygen. It will kill almost anything, including YOU, so care must be taken when using an ozone generator. This ozone generator produces a strong flow of ozone capable of treating up to 6000 square feet. I think that's overly optimistic, based on experience. I would say it can treat a large living room at one time. You need to open all drawers and cabinets in the area being treated, turn the generator on for the desired time, then LEAVE. Return only after the ozone generator has been OFF for 2 hours! It creates a noxious smell. It is a good idea to use fans to vent the room to the outdoors once treatment is completed. An ozone generator WILL drastically reduce odors, and it will definitely kill mold! I speak from long experience here. This one has everything you need, from a built in timer (up to 3 hours) and a good strong fan for dispersing the ozone. It is lightweight (3 1/2 pounds) and compact. I like it! ... show more

    • this thing for sure kills odors
I tried this in my bathroom and some vehicles and it definitely works at killing odors. This one does generate a large amount of ozone and is effective you should for sure follow the guidelines and not use it in occupied spaces, clear any pets out and maybe plants too set it and come back later. Devices like this one are used for kill infestations in enclosed spaces because it displaces the breathable oxygen and replaces it with Ozone., this is common in the automotive industry. I do not have any infested vehicles to try it out on but I do believe it would work for that as it definitely does have a high output. Ozone can be dangerous but not terribly because you will notice the strong odor and experience the negative effects long before it could become really hazardous, any able bodied adult would not just sit there and take it. Once you turn off the machine the ozone will not last because it will just convert back to regular oxygen so there is no long term hazard. You do of course need to take care but nothing beyond what should be common sense is needed. This machine has one job and that is to output a high volume of ozone for a user selected amount of time and this machine does this. I believe it is electrically safe as its overall design is pretty well thought out. The construction seems pretty rugged I think it should hold up pretty well over time. ... show more
