  • BEST PURCHASE EVER!!!!
I don't know why I did not buy this before and more leaving in a place where snows and have to scrape quite often... So I did a lot of research before deciding to pull the trigger and finally buy one of this kind of covers. I did not want one with the magnets because the reviews said it may scratch your car.... the other one I saw you had to hook to your front tires.... yeah I am not hooking anything to my tires lol they are dirty... Another one I saw was too small for any kind of windshield... Any who.. I was looking for something like this and oh man! it is the best purchase that I have ever made!!! It goes inside your doors to keep in place on the top and for the bottom it goes on your side mirrors. I have a Rav4 as you can see in the pictures, it covers all my windshield and also it protects the wipers from snow and frost. Easy to install (even if you have your purse and other bags on your arms). When I woke up this morning, I saw that it was still snowing from the day before.. walking to my car the snow was knee high.. I saw my neighbor scrapping his truck and with a smirk on my face, I went to my car, took the top piece out (that is what you can see on the second picture), and started to walk to the other side w/ it on my hand and as you can see, no snow nor frost for me to scrape!! I like to shake it while still secured on the other door so I remove most of the snow. The only thing is that the frozen snow/water will stick to the cover (better than your windshield! that is why you are buying this, to avoid scraping! right?), so I just put it on the back of my SUV and when I get to my destination, I take it out and shake the defrost water off. It is so good it will not soak through and wet my car. Hopefully this is helpful! I can't wait to use it during summer time too! ... show more

  • Very happy I found this.
I have a 2017 Subaru WRX daily driver. This is my first winter Fall/Winter with the car and it's parked outdoors. I work early mornings so a few times this Fall I've come out at 3:30am to find the windshield frosted up and then difficult to defog. After some research, I decided to purchase the OxGord Windshield Snow Cover in hopes that it would help me get the windshield cleared off and ready to go sooner. I've never used a windshield cover like this before because in the past I've been able to garage my vehicles and didn't have to worry about it. I've been using the cover for about two weeks now and have been impressed with it. We've had some low 20-degree mornings this week and the cover has worked like a charm - keeping frost off the windshield and making defogging much faster. The cover fits my WRX as if it were made for it. The elastic loops stretch sufficiently to go over the side-view mirrors. I imagine that with a wider vehicle this may become more problematic, but for my application it's perfect. I have not been tucking the upper flaps into the doors because I wanted to avoid any possibility of moisture intrusion and even without that it's been working fine. I haven't had to deal with any significant wind, though, which may make a case for the flaps. The cover material repels water nicely allowing it to bead up and roll off efficiently. I usually just pull the cover off in the morning, hang it up above the sink in the laundry room, and let it drip dry during the day. By evening it's dry and ready to go. For storage, it folds up easily and compactly. I haven't dealt with any snow yet so that aspect remains to be seen, but for now, dealing with frosted windows and defogging, this has been an excellent little addition. I'm actually planning to purchase a second one as a spare. ... show more

  • Easy to use, works well
Got this cover for the windshield of my car, which is usually parked outdoors, on my driveway. The reviews suggested that this sheet prevents frost formation on the windshield, and that was one of my main points of pain in the winter, so I decided to try this sheet out. The sheet is very inexpensive, and seems to be well-made and sturdy. There are no instructions that come with the sheet, but it is mostly easy to figure out what to do. It takes a couple of tries to place it correctly so that the whole windshield as well as the wipers are well-protected. After that, it has now become as practiced as getting into the car and starting to drive. I use the sheet with the smooth side against the windshield. I don't know whether that is the correct way to use it. So far, I haven't found the sheet lacking, so either that must be OK, or it really doesn't matter which side is against the windshield. We have had a couple of weeks of below-freezing temperature during the winter now, and in every case, there was frost on the cover, but not on my windshield. I don't know why I did not find this product sooner, given that I have lived where I have for 25 years now, and fought with windshield ice every winter all along! This cover is worth its weight in gold for not only the frustration it saves me, but also due to the fact that I can start driving as soon as I step out for the day instead of building an additional 5 to 10 minutes in my schedule for frost removal. I store the cover in my trunk once I remove it from the windshield. It would be good if it came with a waterproof bag because I have found that sometimes, there is a lot of snow and frost on the cover, and it is impossible to get it all off before I put it in the trunk, so the floor of the trunk gets wet when all this stuff melts off the cover. Otherwise, there have been no other problems. One more thing to look out for is the "ears" that go into the passenger compartment (and the door is closed over them to secure the cover in place in addition to the loops that go over the outside mirrors). Once or twice, I pull the ears down tight and closed the doors over not only the ear, but also parts of the thick seam that attaches the ear to the main part of the cover. This has caused small amounts of water to leak into the passenger compartment because the door seals are forced open a little wider because of the seams. So, even if it will result in a little bunching of the cover outside the car, don't pull anything other than the ear into the passenger compartment. If there was a small set of instructions with the cover explaining this (and definitively answering the question of which side of the cover goes against the windshield), I would have given it 5 stars. ... show more

  • Works well
First time I used it, I covered the windshield wipers and it flapped up during the night. Next day, I put the windshield wipers over it to hold it and it worked well for our recent snow/ice storm. One less windshield I had to scrape.
