Yes, there are much pricier and fancier options but if you know anything about diminishing returns, it's far too great with mechanical keyboards. As long as it has mechanical key switches, you'll make your young gamer happy. There's much more to these switches but that's for them to learn. Bottom line: So if it's on sale for 30 bucks, grab it. i love it! the buttons are soft, have a slight matte finish. the switches aren't obnoxiously loud, so it doesn't get annoying to type & can't hear it during streams. the backlight isn't extremely bright, so not distracting or blinding when using in a dark room. it's a hefty weight, it's my first mechanical keyboard but i don't recall others i've tried with friends having such a weight. the only thing i wish it had was volume control. you can't customize the light settings, but i don't see why you'd want to when it has over 20 settings already. overall, gives "fancy gamer" that doesn't break the bank. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Keyboard is a nice smaller mechanical keyboard with light green and olive green keys and a white board frame and cord. Sounds nice before lubing if you don’t have the experience doing that or just don’t want to buy any. Would definitely recommend for a budget keyboard.

    • About as good a keyboard as any except for the lighting and manual.

This is an old style mechanical keyboard and exactly what I like. It is also customizable in that you can turn all the back lighting on/off and I initially preferred it off but some of the characters are too dark so I needed the lighting. It has a very heavy base so it doesn't slide around. Overall one of the best keyboards I have used and were it not for the manual and lighting, I would give it 5 stars. The functions listed in the manual do not match what the keyboard does and I could not get the lighting to be what I wanted. I ended up getting it close by just trial and error hitting different key combinations of FN and other keys. ... show more
