Review after just short of 1 year of use (10.5 months) I was looking for a new laundry holder. In the past I primarily used either a wicker basket or a fabric-mesh bag to consolidate and carry my laundry. While they worked fine I wanted to use something that was more pliable than a wicker basket, making it easier to care, but more sturdy and visually appealing compared to a mesh bag. Having a sack of clothes in the corner of the room didn't look great. After about a year of use I am pretty happy with the basket. It was exactly what I was looking for if only a little small for laundry use by an adult. 1 set of sheets or a full week of clothing and the basket if full if not towering. A common critique in other reviews is that the free standing basket without being at least partially filled will not hold it's shape. That is somewhat true, but needs a better explanation. Since the basket is made of woven cotton rope the unit will natural be pliable. There is no ridged interior panels or framing. As with many materials the constant compression and stress on the basket will make it lose some of its initial flat sidedness....that's not a word, but you get what I mean. I did not see this as a negative because I was expecting it. I mean when the unit was delivered it was flattened and I needed shape it back into a basket. Change in Size: After the year of use the basket has stretched slightly and compressed vertically to 14.5" x 13.5" x 15.5". NOTE: Basket dimensions are accurate to the inside space. Measurements (width "A" x width "B" x Height) 14.2" x 13.4" x 16.2" are from the inside, not the outside, of the basket. The rope thickness is not included in the measurements, approx. 5/16" in gauge rope. - I would suggest the larger 17.8 x 15.8 x 13.8 if you are an adult looking for a laundry basket (The difference between the top and bottom diameter of this basket is larger that of the basket this review is for.     • Not sure it will ever return to round shape

This is a really nice basket but it is folded flat and tried for shipment so it is not round .. it is more like a floppy triangle — which is not at all attractive. It has been several days now and even with attempts to reshape it, the basket is still a floppy triangle. I do not think it will ever return to its original round shape. I will repost if it does. I am very disappointed because it appears to have been a very nice basket before they squished it. ... show more

I've ordered this basket before, and use it for Yoga equipment storage. I ordered a second one yesterday, but instead was sent a plain beige one, that is 14 x 14 inches instead of the receiving the 18.5 inch tall grey/cream basket. I was also charged for the more expensive, taller basket I actually ordered. These are well made, attractive, very useful, and have study handles with tightly sewn stitches, no weird smells, are able to be minimized for storage. A versatile storage solution. I'm taking points off for being charged more, and receiving the wrong item, but I decided to keep the smaller beige basket rather than dealing with the hassle of sending it back, and possibly being sent the wrong item again. I was considering purchasing more baskets as gifts, but rethinking that idea, which is unfortunate. ... show more

It's cute and I love the colors but it collapses on itself all.the.time. I have yet to invent a way to stick something into the base of it to keep it from collapsing. If this would stand on its own itd be worth 5 stars. Otherwise I'm rating it a 2 because it doesn't hold up.

I purchased this basket to use for laundry and have been extremely pleased with it. The material seems strong and durable but most importantly holds its upright shape just like it's supposed to! It's the perfect size for laundry - one basket is almost exactly equivalent to one 8kg load. I also love that it has handles which makes it so much easier to drag around (often while holding my 8 month old son with one arm!). I'm super happy with this purchase and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a stylish and versatile basket. This product is very durable, heavy duty and is made of high quality. It comes folded but the lines of the folds do deminish in time and will stand upright after it has had time to take shape out of the box. It is big with lots of storage space. I bought this for blanket storage. It was a little smaller than anticipated. Ended up getting the bigger version of this but its the same company and same color scheme. I found another use for this product. The picture of the man holding it seems to make it bigger than it actually is. But all in all it is a good storage for something.
