This was soooo cute, I gave it as a gift & they loved it. The pieces are really tiny so I recommend having little cups or something to keep them separate & organized. They do not come step by step in the bags, I separated by color & it made it so much easier! Took me 5 hours to complete in one day. The pieces are very small. Did I say they were very small? I mean they are very, very small. It’s hard to get the 1x1 pieces on. It’s hard to maneuver them in my fingers, even! Then when they ask you to put a lot of one peg things in next to each other at different heights. I’d get one thing in only to knock off another one. I did use tweezers at one point, but the pieces are still slippery. It’s such a cute set, but it’s going to take forever for me to make (it takes forever for me to find the pieces, too!)! >>Tip: Use the black piece remover tool with the tool and the pieces in a big ziplock bag. They go flying…far! If you still can’t get it off (I couldn’t and my green piece had white stress marks from trying to get it off with the black piece remover) you can use two jewelry pliers (which is what I ended up doing) to get pieces off of each other. >>Tip: Put the pieces from one bag in one bigger Z*plock. Then look for the piece while it’s in the Z*plock so you don’t loose pieces :) Instructions: The colors in the booklet sometimes take a bit of sleuthing to figure out. Also the dark brown pieces are almost black so it’s hard to see the individual pieces in the diagram in low light (or if you’re due for a new eyeglass prescription soon. XD). >>Tip: The dark gray on #3 on page 2 is really a beige with maybe? a hint of gray. The first green peg on #3 on page 2 is the darker green. ... show more

I completed this over the course of three days but it wasn’t without anxiety and frustration. The pieces are so tiny that it’s incredibly difficult to snap some of them together or take them apart. It’s so small that when attaching the flowers, the slightest pressure would shatter the piece you are working on. The pieces are not at all organized and it was a bit challenging to differentiate between the colors in the instructions because the two brown shades are so similar. I enjoyed building this QARULUS Owl Flower Bouquet Building Set. The pieces are micro blocks which means they are really tiny. I had to resort to using a pair of tweezers or the handy piece remover in a few places to get the pieces where they needed to be. There were a few loose pieces, and a lot of extra pieces. None of the loose ones were so loose they would fall free however, and I'm glad there were so many extra pieces because as I was putting this together, I kept dropping them. One went flying I don't know where, so some of those extra pieces came in handy. It's a sturdy little thing. The one thing I did not like was that the sticker that goes on the base was impossible to put on without some creases as the base is rounded. I tried both the transparent and the black background and neither went on without some creases. I ended up putting one on one side and one on the other just to see how well they worked. I don't know how to fix the creasing. Other than that, amazing build with tiny micro blocks. ... show more

I received this for Christmas and just finished building it last night. It is very cute and quite detailed, and being the tiny building blocks, it is nicely sized for displaying in many places. Visually, the only issue I have with it on display is that the sticker on the front creases where it curves, and I just can't get it to lay flat despite effort. I love that there is a dome to protect it from getting bumped and from dust. The bricks are definitely tiny - this is the first set I've put together with the smaller bricks as I have always used the Lego-compatible size. I used my tweezers extensively throughout. Some of the bricks snapped together strongly, while others just didn't want to snap into place. For example, the stem pieces on the purple flower stalks just don't want to stay together, and the yellow petals fall off if you even think of bumping them. I also had trouble getting pieces to go fully together so there's no gap between them, while other times, they are perfect. Despite the problems mentioned, I would buy another set. It depends a lot on your expectations and purpose. Once this adorable little guy is on the shelf, it won't be touched, and the pieces that are sensitive to touch/bumps will be just fine. The price is very nice for someone like me who loves to build and goes through sets quickly. The quality varies some, but I didn't have to glue anything together to make it stay - it's more of a frustration factor when building. ... show more

First off, I am DELIGHTED that this set comes with an instruction book that really takes you through the entire build in a clear and legible way. I've dealt with these before where the instructions are a single, undecipherable sheet. This is so much better. Although these are micro-blocks, they feel a bit bigger than the teeny ones to me. I like that, since it's easier to get things together. That said, this set is not for most children. It will take precision, care, and patience to get a good outcome.
