I know it says that the microphone is for kids, but I got it for my dad because he likes singing and during the covid, we can't go to Karaoke room or enjoy many other entertainment activities. I was skeptical about what I was getting so I got the least expansive one with the highest review just to see how it works. The microphone is so much better than I expected and it was very easy to install as well. It also has so many features that comes with the microphone that I haven't used yet, but I am excited to try them out. I like it because it is not too loud to use at home with the volume adjustment key along with the disco light that I got with the microphone. It was perfect to create our own Karaoke room at home and they are also providing free life time warranty which I think adds great values to the price I paid for. I’m not sure if I got a defective product or what happen but I got this for some family fun and was so excited to receive it. When I opened the box I was taken aback by the fact that the charger cord was just rolling around free in the box, which led to my next discovery which was the packaging was wide open no tape no nothing. Of course now I’m alarmed I inspect the item and realize there’s a small dent and I’m like oh gosh this must be used. Call me an optimist or maybe the kid in me was really looking forward to this product but I kept the faith because honestly I’ve never really got a defective product from Amazon. The directions are pointless but there’s a blue battery rolling around in the box so I proceed to put it in the mic and it starts to SMOKE and give off a chemical smell!!! It feels like it’s over heating and the battery has only been in it for a couple seconds. Now I’m totally over it but I’m still inspecting it so I’m like maybe it’s burning because of this blue plastic on the battery so I peel it off (I’m thinking that was a super no no) and put the battery back in and I swear it smokes more and is probably second away from exploding in my face. To think I bought this to silly around with my 19 month old. I can’t even imagine, please get a better quality one this is a super NO NO. ... show more
