  • Great quality and perfect for my senior dog
Color: Dog Smart Composite (Tan)
I was sad to discover my dog is a Level 0 (my term for lick mats) to a Level 1. No more. Poor baby walks away from Levels 2+ even with bacon inside. So this Level 1 toy is perfect. I freeze all kinds of things inside so it takes her longer to lick clean. Though she has totally aced how to lift the pieces, it keeps her well occupied. For a very well-behaved senior dog, she is ok with multiple short-duration puzzles. ... show more

  • Easy way to stimulate your dog
Color: Dog Smart (Orange)
Our dogs had never used An item like this, except for a snuffle mat. But it only took them a minute or two to understand that there is a treat in some of them. I suggest starting off with a treat under everyone until they get used to understanding what they’re supposed to do then you can try putting different types of treats in each one or only putting treats in a few at a time. This does not frustrate them at all because we use things that are highly scented like puperonies, pieces of beggin strips, peanut butter, a little canned tuna etc. i got this During a sale, because i wasnt sure my dogs would like it. But i quickly bought another model from same company so both dogs could do it at same time. I really appreciate that you can order replacement pieces in case you lose one or if your dog chews one up. This Was a big selling point for me. One of my dogs doesnt have many teeth left, so he uses his nose to push the pieces up. The plastic bones have a little curved part at the end which their noses use to push up on. I would buy this again for other pet parent friends, and i will buy other models of higher leves of difficulty too. These wash up easily ... show more

  • Very Entertaining!
Color: Multipuzzle (Green)
The media could not be loaded. My lab got so mad with this thing! I now have 3 puzzle toys for my dogs so they each can be working on one at the same time. They're pretty smart, and figured out the first two rather quickly. So I bought this one to give them more of a challenge. My younger dog was at it for awhile and didn't end up figuring the center part or the slides out. My lab just got frustrated and lost interest. She went for the younger dogs puzzle and I had to keep returning her attention to her board. She ended up pawing at the outer pieces and knocked one off. NP. I was able to pop it back into place. When she was done, she still had treats hidden inside. NBD. We'll work on it. At least it served it's purpose and got her engaged. It also kept me entertained! Definitely work up into making it more challenging for your pup. Even if they advance through lower level puzzles pretty quickly like mine do. One thing I will say about this one: I do wish that the boarder compartments were different. Some of them move across multiple squares. As the dogs are moving things around, the treats tend to get stuck in spots on the board where they can’t be fished back out. When I went to set up the board for my lab, I realized there were some cranberries that had gotten stuck in one spot that made them difficult to remove. Tilting didn't work and I couldn't grab them with my fingers, either. Ended up grabbing them out with a pair of kitchen shears lol. ... show more

  • Boredom Relief / Mental Exercise
Color: Dog Smart (Orange)
The media could not be loaded. So many are complaining that the bones got chewed up. That's because the dog has to be taught that the bone isn't the prize, the item held within is. They don't reason like we do and anything to a dog is a chewable item. I made the same mistake with my 8-yr old hyper-but-uber-smart Spitz / Husky mix. When he was a puppy I didn't know even a portion of what I do now and he tore up a great number of toys as a result. I'm starting fresh with a new pound puppy. My 10-month old took off with the bones initially and tried to chew them. I removed them from her and redirected her to the real treasure. After the 2nd round of training she started ignoring the bones and going for the real treat. She now takes her meals in this or her Kong Wobbler. I still have to watch because as I was typing this she finished the game and got bored waiting for me so proceeded to chew up one of the bones. The 8-yr old owned this in no time. His first time with it he put his paw on the center to hold it in place, then picked up the bones, tossed them to the side and reaped his rewards. He was considerably more slobbery than the girl, so do be aware that these things can get slimed. I'm using other toys with him due to the goo factor, and to offer him more of a challenge since this was far too easy for him. This has been a great relief for boredom for the 10-month old. She cracked her foot on our patio when the two dogs were running full speed ahead in the yard, resulting in a toe fracture. I am to keep this puppy on limited activity for 4 - 6 weeks so I'm learning all sorts of new tricks to keep her mind active to make up for the lack of physical exertion. Now that she's able to put weight on the foot this toy, the Kong Wobbler, and a plush toy with holes to pull smaller plushes from are helping me do just that. Pros: Good introduction to puzzle toys Durable But requires training to prevent dogs from chewing the pieces up Lightweight Easy to set up Cons: Noisy if your dog manhandles it Moves all over the floor Slobber can make the pieces difficult to handle (or just gross) Takes a little time to set up Supervision needed Video is the boy on his 3rd attempt. He has a listening problem - he can't hear "sit" when he doesn't want to. :D I have to send him to the crate because he has resource guarding issues I've never been successful at training out of him so to keep things civil I send him away from the game before I refill. If that one piece hadn't escaped, breaking his concentration, he would have finished up pretty darn quick. The girl is less elegant in her execution. ... show more
