  • Plenty of power. Runs so cool!
Size: 7 x 130WPC Balanced Input Stage
Before this we ran a Parasound 6 channel Amp which was great except for: A. Because it was only six channels, had to wire the subwoofers to the same Amp, making them share. B. It ran so hot that it necessitated installing it below in the garage which was a wiring nightmare, because it was too hot to be in the house, especially if it needed to be in a cabinet. This Outlaw Amp plays PLENTY LOUD with excellent quality. To demo it we played the original Jurassic Park to test it at high volume. Subwoofers get a massive workout in the intense T-Rex scene, and it truly rocked the house! Each sub having it's own Amp is a plus. Cool to the touch after playing it all day. Fantastic! Also tested it with classical music, gorgeous. ... show more

  • Awesome amp!
Size: 5 x 120WPC Balanced Input Stage
I bought the Outlaw 5000 power amp because I'm buying new Magnepan LRS speakers. I sold my 35 year old Magnepan speakers a year ago, and have regretted it ever since. Nothing compares, but you need LOTS of power to drive them (I was using 100w Marantz Mono Blocks). Reviewers I respect said the Outlaw was a good amp choice (I'm on a 5 month wait list for the speakers). I currently have my old Velodyne sub (VLF 1012), bookshelf B&Ws (685 S2) for the front, and bookshelf ELACs (Debut 2.0) for the surrounds. It's a 14x19 room with a cathedral ceiling. I don't use the set-up for home theater - just music. I hooked up the Outlaw 2 days ago, using my 18 year-old Yamaha (RXV 1400) as a pre amp. OMG! For 2 days I've been listening to my music and hearing things I haven't heard before. Sound is powerful (even at lower volumes), crystal clear, with unbelievable imaging I haven't experienced since my old Magnepans. It's like I have a brand new system with better sound out of the bookshelf speakers, and clean, tight, thumping bass from the old sub. Based on my experience so far, I would highly recommend the Outlaw power amp for any system. What a difference an amp can make. ... show more

  • Banging!
Size: 7 x 130WPC Balanced Input Stage
After lots of YouTube searches and comparisons, I was drawn to the outlaw audio amp for a couple reasons. Price, 130w per channel continuous power and very positive reviews. Just keep in mind this thing is heavy so make sure you have a entertainment cabinet that can support it along with the weight of your center channel and AVR. My klipsch RP5000f, RP500c and RP51 for my side and rear surrounds don’t need a lot of power and the Denon did just fine but the level of detail that I get from them is night and day difference. I rewatched blade runner 2049 along with mad mad fury road and could hear fine details that I never could hear before. Also clarity so if I am playing at reference level sound. There is little to no distortion that was noticeable before. My 4 atmos speakers are still powered by the AVR but now that they are not driving 7 other speakers I can hear more detail from them as well. If you’re in search for a budget friendly powerful amplifier, I highly recommend outlaw audio! ... show more

  • Solid amplifier great value
Size: 7 x 130WPC Balanced Input Stage
Great amplifier. Economical entry for us that don't have deep pockets but want even power distribution to the speakers and give the AVR a break from carrying such a large load. Definitely recommend using the XLR connection I used the XLR to RCA style connector. Do not recommend using just RCA to RCA. I am sure XLR to XLR is the best connection but my Onkyo receiver does not have XLR or balanced option I also recommend using a line filter and a reputable power conditioner after all this is $1k or more a little prevention goes along way. So far very reliable and runs cool even being pushed for along time at high volume. ... show more

  • UPDATED: Defective product and I have to pay to get it fixed
Size: 7 x 130WPC Balanced Input Stage
Have had the amp in my system for ~3 months when I noticed a hum out of the right surround speaker. The amp is grounded to my receiver so should not be a ground loop. Did a lot of troubleshooting with swapping cables and speakers to determine it is a problem with that single channel. So, my issue is that I paid Outlaw to ship the amp to my house (I know it says free shipping on Amazon but Outlaw has added shipping into the selling price), they sent me a defective amp, and now I have to pay to ship it back to them. That’s pretty ridiculous. Update: Lowering my experience down from 2 stars to 1. Contacted Outlaw to see if they might waive the return shipping since the product was already defective. They indicated that since I only noticed it a few months later that they consider the defect present at purchase and that it "developed" over time. So, no waiving the return shipping (by the way, the warranty does not indicate that a product immediately noticed to be defective would have no return shipping costs). Probably never buy from these guys again. Updated again: Outlaw determined that they would pay for me to ship the product back. After some back and forth on how to troubleshoot the issue, they finally found a problem with the grounding circuit in that one channels amplifier. It was replaced and shipped back. Now back in system and it sounds great! Would give it 5 stars but need to knock off that one star for the warranty shipping policy and the hassle from this defect resolution. ... show more

  • Can't go wrong with Outlaw Audio
Size: 5 x 120WPC Balanced Input Stage
Little biased due to the fact that I am a prior outlaw audio customer. I own the Outlaw M8 subwoofer, the A/B amp on that subwoofer and the bass reproduction is second to none for an 8 inch driver. I bought the 5000x to go with Schiit Syn surround processor, it does the job very well producing clean clear sound. Build quality, sound quality is top line. I totally trust this brand. In terms of pricing, considering the balanced inputs, 5 channels and 120w x 8 Ohms, and good customer service in comparison to equivalent products, this is good value. My setup is mixed: Paradigm Studio 100 Reference towers, JBL Studio 230 surround, Monster Beatbox Center channel(powered), Paradigm Servo 15 Sub ... show more
