I'm not a musician. I'm a person who is not intimidated by tech and was voluntold to put together the PA (and laser shows) for a small local community. I've been doing this for several years, but my equipment was cheap, barely worked, and it took much work to get everything running at once. This Bose speaker is so, so much better and easier to put together. My work has awards that are like 'green stamps'; I saved them up to buy this. It's making my life so much easier. I volunteer enough without spending hours on setup, verification, and teardown. This definitely sounds better, works better, is easier to set up, and is more compact. It's expensive, but I had at least that much money in individual pieces of equipment that I can replace with this. I'd wish I'd started with this. Anyway, if your time is worth anything, then a piece of quality equipment like this is probably cheaper in the long run. ... show more

Best and loudest speaker I heard. My kids play baseball and I wanted a compact speaker that could sound very loud. Best of all with Bluetooth connectivity. The battery last a long time. Worth the money. The appearance is great. Not huge nor too heavy.

I am very impressed with the quality of the sound, however unless you are tech savvy, the support or the direction for setting it up and connecting with a device wirelessly are very poor. Unlike the less expensive sound systems that I have used prior, this one was disappointing as far as the directions go. For example, I tried to connect it wirelessly with a microphone that I owned (not Bose), it won’t. Not sure if I need to purchase something else to make it happen. There’s nothing else like it. I replaced 7 devices with just this one speaker (along with mic and guitar accessories). The range is great, the sound is great, the convenience is amazing, the speaker does last more than 10 hours and the plug in accessories last more than 4 hours. You can pick up a $6 cable on Amazon to connect a loop pedal; it’s simple. You’re in it for $1,000 with the speaker and both adapters. If you aren’t buying the adapters, this speaker is not worth the price. The convenience of plugging in your guitar, mic, and go is amazing. Just one will fill a brewery or coffee shop.
