Maybe because I live in Indiana and we get decent snow in the winter but it did not last the winter. It blew over once in the fall and I nailed it down to my deck after that . You have to push any water build up or snow accumulation off of it so that the weight does not cause it to droop. Once it gets droopy it will leak anytime it rains. Eventually the legs gave out and snapped after a strong wind storm as spring was starting. Will get something like it in the future but it must have a solid roof to prevent the leaking issues. ... show more

I would’ve gave it a five star, but my wife wanted to give it up for happy wife happy life. She didn’t like the way fit around the sides. I am the other hand took it out about 15 - 20 minutes to put it up tie it down it worked out great for the band they were really happy with it. It was a 10 x 20 tent. We really liked that this was so easy to set up. It does take two people to put together, but was very easy to do. Took about a half hour to put up. We had two storms roll through over the last two weeks, and as we were using it as a storage space with boxes and such, it stayed in tact and we didn't have issues with items getting wet. Let me start off with the positives. Once assembled this is a very nice tent and when the walls are up it looks great. We used it at a football game last weekend and it was very comfortable inside. It appears to be very sturdy. Now for the not so good. This was very difficult to put up. The directions are pretty much useless. We were fortunate that people tailgating right near us had the exact same tent and were able to assist us. What are the odds? As it turns out with five people it went up in minutes. With one or two people, I would think this is going to prove to be challenging. Long story short, once you get the frame going, someone needs to go in the middle and turn the crank which will force the frame to expand to its full width. With a few people to set up, this is a very nice tent. We are using it again this weekend and I suspect on the second go around it will be a lot easier to put up with two people. Update: The 2nd time and beyond this tent has been much easier to use. You still need a couple of people to extend the frame (with the legs) but I'm very happy with it. ... show more

I opted for this canopy as I needed some temporary storage. It was cheaper than paying for a monthly storage unit, and not as permanent as an outdoor shed (also much cheaper for a similar size). I wasn't worried about security as I wasn't leaving anything of great value in this temp storage so the canopy fit the bill. Already had plenty of bricks and 2x4's to prop my goods off the ground. And I can say that after nearly 5 months outdoors, this canopy has really held up really well! The canopy has seen heavy rains, strong winds, and bright sunny California days. No leaks, tears, or worn down frame. It's definitely a heavier duty unit compared to ones I've handled in the past, but still manageable to prop up and tear down. And the linkages still work well. I love the fat buttons to adjust the legs compared to the tiny metal push pins on cheap tents. The fabric has held up very well compared to tarp that has been left to the elements. The velcro also held strong which was a concern on really windy days. Hard to say if there's any fading as I chose a white canopy, but at least no yellowing either. There are some water trails from the rains but that could probably clean up well if I chose to. Just a few cons though: 1. The side panels are only big enough when the canopy is at its first level. I would have liked to raise the whole thing one notch higher but there's about a foot gap once you do. 2. The pole and ratchet to tension the center of the canopy felt unusually tight from the get go. It's spring loaded, but wish it was looser to drape the canopy and secure it first, then tension it. Also, the ratchet crank felt like it was going to break when raising and tensioning so I decided to leave it as is. 3. The weight bags that come supplied aren't great to use at the same time with the side panels. The pouches sit side by side and once filled with sand, it's difficult to close the side panels as the bags bulge out. Ended up getting a single taller pouch that sits nicely in the corner of the panels once strapped on. 4. Granted it worked for how I used it, the canopy is pretty heavy. The roller bag is nearly useless as it's flimsy once everything is inside and no real support from the bracket attached to the wheels. Don't think I'd take it to the casual outdoor picnic/beach gathering Overall, it was perfect for what i needed. I still see a future where I can use this again multiple times ... show more
