We got these to replace some outdoor sconces and they are a great upgrade. As others have mentioned the do run on the smaller side but look great! Install was straightforward and quick. Note you will need a (e26) bulb when done or you will not be able to enjoy. Recommend.

These fixtures are on the small size, I had thought about having the installed at the front of the house but considering the small size I think they are more suitable for the back of the house besides the basement door. They do look nice, very simple and practical, come with all you need to install them (if you are replacing existing fixtures). If you are doing a new build/installation you might need to get a connection box and/or a wall plate, that will depend on the siding and conditions of your house. One things that I particularly did not like was the access to replace the bulb, the fixture is open at the bottom, however you cannot replace the bulb from there, instead you need to unscrew the fixture from the top to reach and replace the bulb, that is not very convenient. ... show more

I like this a lot. I give on 4 stars because the screws holding the fixture are too long. I had to improvise so that it is not obvious. I am not sure why they make them like this, I got a totally different light fixture from Lowe's a few years back and I had the same problem. I do not see a reason for this, the screws should be a bit longer than the stand, but not almost twice as long. ... show more

I snatched these light fixtures up to replace the ancient outdoor lights on both the front and side doors of my house. Neither on of those lights match, either, and I wanted something new and matching. The presentation on these was great. They came in a solid cardboard box and the lights themselves were protected on the inside by Styrofoam protection. You get the two lights, instructions and the parts needed for installation. You'll need a Phillips screwdriver to install these. The lights themselves aren't heavy at all and are made steel (probably aluminum) with a fine brushed/matte black anti-rust coating. I like they way the look and, more importantly, so does my wife! Anyways, the installation was easy and straightforward. I've replaced a number of these over the years on my previous homes so I didn't really need the instructions as it's not rocket science. You get the standard three wires (black, white and ground) and it's black to black, white to white and the copper ground wire to the steel bracket. The only tedious part is sizing the screws to make sure it sits flush against your house. it took me maybe 15-30 minutes to install both of these. Most of that time was spent walking downstairs to turn the power off/on and getting the right tools because the old ones I had needed a flathead and not a Phillips. As far as longevity and durability is concerned, I can't speak to that right now since I haven't had it for very long but I see no reason why these wouldn't last. The overhang on my house is pretty far and these sit under them so normally the lights don't get hammered by the weather (rain, snow, etc..) so I'm expecting these to last a while. It's says it has anti-rust coating so as far as rusting is concerned the jury is still out on that too. However, if anything changes in the future I will certainly update my review and ratings. So they look great on my house and work just fine (see pics) and I'm glad I finally replaced the old ones. ... show more
