These stools are so nice. They are very well made, aside from the chipping (that could also be because my kids are hurricanes) but that is nothing compared to how beautiful they are. I just wish it came with 4!

I like these more than I expected to. I put them together in a very short amount of time. I would suggest looking at the directions and following them. Because I didn't I had to take the first one apart because there is some specificity to it but not a lot. They are sturdy and a little wider than a typical saddle stool. Both are sturdy and the worn looking wood used is beautiful and compliments the black steel support frame perfectly. My partner and I assembled both stools in around 30 minutes time. The stools are well packed, arrived with all the requisite parts and pieces, and I got them assembled by myself in about 30 minutes. There were even 2 allen wrenches, just in case, I suppose. The stools are sturdy, a little on the heavy side, but that's because they're made from solid wood with a metal frame. I needed heavy duty stools for extra seating - we are not small people, so chairs that hold up to 300 pounds are definitely a plus for us. I play guitar, and it's nice to have a higher stool to play on where my feet can still touch the ground. I personally slide off most bar stools. Even most saddle seats. This one is slide proof. The design is better than other saddle seats. I like the metal frame because it feels very sturdy. This look will fit in with most decors because of the wood and metal combination.
