The cordless is better than the corded. A little noisy but most fast feed detachable clippers are. Cuts fast like butter through any hair texture and formation!! Definitely not used!

    • Battery barely lasted a year before going faulty

The media could not be loaded. Bought product in October 2023. The battery died after just over a year. I do not work full time hours, and I work in a very small town. So they are not going 24/7 while I’m at work. Thankfully they are still under warranty and I will get a new battery replacement. But I have to send the whole unit in to be inspected which will leave me at least 20 days with no clippers. Osters seem to not last. I was a corded classic 76 user before going cordless and those never lasted much over a year either. The screws would come lose on them creating a major rattle where the blade connected. And they never held up after that. Over all I liked the cut and the freedom on not being attached to a cord. But. I think it’s time to try a new brand of clipper December 2024: none of my clipper blades will stay locked into place. Trying to get a hold of Oster to use the warranty has been a nightmare. ... show more

I love this clipper. After reading some of the reviews, I was worried about. It is lighter than the standard 76. It also quieter then my 76. So bonus. I have only used it a few times, it seems to be working great. It uses my blades I already owned. I am not sure how well it would hold up for a regular barber, but I only do a handful of clipper cuts a day. I cut mostly women. I will follow up if there are any issues ... show more

So, I've been cutting hair for a while - about six or so years - and I've used the BGRC+s before, which are a pretty hefty clipper. I got used to them, even if they were weighty. I've switched from using those as I work in a high volume salon, but with a lot of kiddos, so I went with a quieter, more friendlier clipper. But, I missed using my blades, and anyone who's using a detachable blade system knows that it's an investment - which means watching it sit and collect dust is no fun. The BGRC+'s died on me after years of use, so I saw these and knew I had to try them. They are very similar to my old pair, but definitely more of the classic 76 feel without the cord. My blades snapped onto them with ease, they cut decently, and I could feel the ergonomics with the clippers. These ones aren't as heavy as my old pair, but they do have some weight if you're used to a smaller unit, an aluminum unit, or simply just a less powerful set of clippers. My one remark would be that the bearings seem to need some grease and they're right out of the box. Of course, I'll check them out before adding anymore, but if they don't need more grease then these are actually louder than my old pair - by a few decibles. Salons are already loud enough with the hairdryers, chit chat, and other clippers in use, so I'm not sure if I'll be able to use these in my place of work. I will have them in use over the next few weeks, so I'll keep an update in mind. For over $300, I was hoping they would be quiet, as passed clippers have been quiet up until they died on me. But I'll give these a good try, and hopefully fall in love with using them. ... show more

3 levels of power but still manages to feel like the classic 76! The cordless option is great and the battery is going well. Ive used it several times without any issues and it gives a great cut exactly like the classic 76. All the 76 guides and blades fit perfectly as they should. The charger base is solid and works as expected. Easy to use and a great value. Its nice to not dance around the cord. POWER IS SIMILAR TO A CORDED CLASSIC 76. I have many clippers from many companies (all the top dogs) and although this is a bit louder than others and similar in size and feel to the original 76, it works excellent and will always be one of my favorites and kept along side my SC, JRL and TPOB ready to handle business.
