As a professional barber, i have tried many many blades... (Modified or not) This TPOB blade is a good blade, but not the best. That's not a zero gap, so u need to adjust it. Without the proper adjustment, the blade cut like a regular one. (Like a regular Babyliss blade for example) To be very efficient, u need to be very precise for the adjustment. Use a professional blade setter from Elite Clipper Mods. After a proper calibration, u will feel the difference. The cutting edge of the blade is dry. I mean after the adjustment, and even before, the blade is very tight, and the cutting edge is good. And after a proper adjustment, more than the classic zero gap, the blade don't cut the skin. U will not have any redness or cut skin, even if u're a heavy handed barber. Don't believe the vids about TPOB blades. What u see in vids don't reflect the reality. Blades in vids are properly calibrated. NO regular blades cuts like in the vids WITHOUT a proper calibration/adjustment. So, if u want a good cutting edge, u need a proper adjustment. I’m a barber and my go to equipment is ALWAYS TPOB. That being said, I hate to not give 5 stars like I always have but I have to be honest, incase there is an issue that needs to be addressed. I have bought a few of the black psycho blades. Every time I have gotten one it is on point when I first get it. It cuts great and gives me sharp lines every time. But, every single time I have had a tooth break off. I am very ocd. I am meticulous with my tools. If you checked my station, it’s spotless and my tools are very well taken care of. Not once have I dropped my trimmers for a tooth to break off. Unless someone is getting into my toolbox when I’m gone and dropping my trimmer every time I buy one, there’s an issue with this blade. I have no clue how this could happen without the trimmer being dropped but all I know is I haven’t dropped any of the blades I’ve gotten and I keep having to replace the blade every couple months. I will continue to support TPOB. He has taken a stand against these crooked companies and given us excellent equipment for half the price. He is our Robinhood! 👊 ... show more

I like the black blade more than the gold for some reason. This Black blade, once broken in and properly set, is a monster. I have it on at least 3 different trimmers and they all get down. My go to after the XXX trimmer blade was discontinued.
