This thing's battery will not die! I've had it for a good amount of time now and it's just been on the death screen still going. (Yeah I'm not a good tama parent). This would be perfect for a kid (or an adult), but I would teach them how to use the buttons. It is not difficult when you read the instructions, but I could see it being a bit tricky for a kid to learn on their own. Afterwards, it is very simple and fun. My son has used this every day for almost 2 months and it is still in excellent condition! He seems to really enjoy taking care of his pet and when it inevitably dies after growing so old or forgetting to clean it’s poop, it comes back as a different character. Great purchase!

Was cool until the pooping started, and the cleanup icon wouldn't work. Might be because it's asleep, and the internal clock isn't reliable. Not simple to revive; can get buttons working again by manipulating the time.
