I've tried way too many texture/salt/powder sprays to achieve the tousled look on my fine pixie cut hair that just did not work. Other brands either left me with dried out, gummy, sticky hair or did absolutely nothing 0 nadda! So in the throes of total desperation I paid the outrageous price for this 2 oz can!! I really didn't think it was worth all the hype until I used it. Let me just say it is worth the price even if it amounts to robbery! Oribe DTS gives a great tousled look yet leaves your hair feeling like there is nothing there! Not sticky, gummy or drying but soft, full of texture, movement and body and IT DOES'T TAKE A LOT TO ACHIEVE THIS [thanks to the Oribe gods for that}. I researched this product [probably obsessively] watching/reading all the reviews plus the "dupe" articles and videos. After I compared the dupes ingredients to Oribe's DTS ingredients, I realized that the dupes were full of all sorts of "alcohols" [denatured this - benzyl that's} not to mention some really puzzling ingredients that only a MIT chemist would understand. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against alcohol its great with fruit/tomato juice! But, those mystery ingredients and the fear of drying my hair out via alcohol convinced me to forego the dupes and just give in to Oribe. Glad I did this stuff is worth it if you have fine hair. I have fine, thin hair. I have two kids now and I need to save time in the morning, so I was looking for products I could use to style my hair before bed that would last through the following day. I tried the following dry texture sprays, and my review is posted under each product: Moroccan Oil dry texture spray - This spray provides texture and all day hold. The spray is dry and comes out of the can with a lot of power. The smell is strong but nice. The Garnier dry texture spray is much cheaper and performs just as well if not better. I paid full price for this product. 4 stars Ouai dry texture spray - I tried a sample of this product at my local Sephora. The smell of this spray is so horrible that many people in the store complained when I sprayed it. It smells like embalming fluid mixed with decaying flowers. I don't remember how well the product performed because I was frantically trying to get the smell out of my hair. Just no. Zero stars Drybar dry texture spray - I tried a sample of this product at my local Sephora. The smell, texture, and hold were all fine. But it is more expensive than Moroccan Oil dry texture spray and the Garnier dry texture spray, and I felt that those products performed better. 3 stars Oribe dry texture spray - This product smelled the best. It held well in my hair during a humid Indiana summer day and it provided light texture. Of all of the products I tried, this one came out of the can in the finest and most controllable mist. It is a good hair product. Is it worth the hefty price tag? Maybe if you're rich, but the Garnier dry texture spray, which is about 10 times cheaper, performs just as well. I paid full price for this product. 4 stars Garnier dry texture spray - This is my favorite of all the dry texture sprays I tried. It does spray powerfully out of the can, but it holds well and provides good texture. It lasts all day and provides buildable hold. The smell is pretty good. This is a fabulous, luxurious texturizing spray I LOVE... and you will love it too. But I have been emptying my pockets to afford it over the years. FINALLY there is a cheaper, comparable dry texturizing spray - it does the exact same thing (no white powder) and has its own great smell. It's called dry texture spray by moroccanoil and is just as wonderful for half the price. Until Oribe brings down the price a little (it used to only be $40!), I'll be sticking with what I can afford. ... show more

BUYER BEWARE AND ORDER DIRECTLY FROM A SALON! I received this item today and while the shipping box and the box the spray comes in were fine, the bottle is virtually EMPTY and the cap is missing nor does the spray even work. Zero signs that the product could have leaked out - and you can't return it... seriously a joke. ... show more

Hands down the BEST product I have ever purchased. IN. MY. LIFE! I have super thin, fine hair and have always searched for something to make my hair look semi-normal...this is it! I recently cut my hair in a medium bob with beachy waves (that style that only looks good if you have thick, beautiful hair). After curling, I spray a generous amount all through my hair and brush it out. My hair looks like it has tripled in volume and it lasts all day long.     • Can't use great Oribe product!

I've used this product successfully before, but due to Covid-19 re-ordered before I needed it because so many things are difficult to find these days and we are quarantining at home still. I ran out of another can today and tried to use it, having tossed the box on Friday when I though tI might but did not have time to do it, and to my chagrin found I can't. The push mechanism on the top of the can won't budge. It's frozen.The only way to make it work is to point the can downwards & push with great effort - spraying my hair normally while standing in front of the mirror is impossible. My husband finally had to try to stand above me and point it down, with me holding up each strand of hair, but he doesn't "get" that and that's not how I need to do my hair. If anyone at ORIBE reads this, please explain to whom I can request another can. $46 is TOO MUCH to throw away. ... show more
