I got this camcorder for my teen son who is a gamer and also does some ghost hunting on the side. :) He wanted this camera for live streaming and also for the infrared feature. This camcorder captures high-quality footage and is quite easy to use. It set up quickly, and my son is able to use it for streaming with no memory card inserted. He can also use it while it's plugged in for streaming, which is great, because some camcorders don't function while the battery is charging. -The 4k captures beautifully, but the standard 1080 looks good as well. -Its screen allows for a full 180 degree rotation, allowing my son to see himself while streaming/recording which comes in handy. -The IR setting is easily accessible and changes quickly. The IR looks great, too! Perfect for ghost hunting. ;) -The camera's default setting is for a beep when changing settings, but this can be easily changed in the sound settings. All the settings are easy to change. -The touch screen is super handy, easy to use and responds well to touch. -The camera is small and light weight, (*See pics - my son's hand in pics is large, but the tiny camera fits nicely in my own smaller hand as well). -It comes with two battery packs and they function perfectly. -The camera automatically focuses well.     • Poor Picture Quality
The bottom line is the cam is so cheap because it is not very good. The video quality is extremely poor. I tested it at 1080p with various lighting, and although it seemed to get slightly better with brighter and brighter lighting, it didn't improve much. The camera was also always out of focus and somewhat blurred. I also really wish the description made it clear that the "face recognition" was not available when the camera is in video mode. Face recognition only works when using this as a still camera. I see that people have a problem with memory cards. Basically you hit the mode button, then settings, then you push down until you get to the next screen of options, which has the memory card formatting tool, but I kind of wish I didn't figure this out because hitting a brick wall like that would have kept me from wasting my time testing the camera to try and get a better video quality. The built-in microphone is also horrendously low. This is not a good camera. You probably a better camera on your phone. ... show more

    • Good for the price
This is a decent camera for the price. However, one battery lasts slightly less than an hour. Luckily, it comes with two batteries. It's just mildly annoying that you may have to stop in the middle of filming to swap batteries. Other than that it's a great little camera for a beginner.

    • Great for Gameplay
If you’re starting a new YouTube channel for whatever and need a decent camera without breaking the bank then I highly recommend getting this one. I didn’t want to purchase a super expensive camera not knowing whether or not my YouTube experience would be good. I’m using this video camera while plugged into a camera capture card to record my gameplay and to stream. So far it has been working out for me. I also love the fact that the camcorder supports the pause function. I can continue the recording in the same File without restarting a new one which is awesome! I didn’t expect a lot of this camera at this price point but pleasantly surprised me! Overall I’m really happy with it! ... show more

    • Battery blew up while recharging
This is a dangerous product and “Amazon” should not sell this product. Thank God, I was able to get this item outdoors before it caught fire: BEWARE of this product. This is he first time I have had any real problems with products sold by Amazon. This could have been much worse.

    • Good camcorder for simple projects/events
While this isn't the highest quality camcorder, it is certainly capable of providing decent video for the average need. I got this for making homemade Lego movies with the kids and it has worked perfectly. It has a touch screen which is convenient, and the included remote is also nice. Overall, this camcorder is of good quality that should last many years. My only complaint is that I can't figure out how to turn off the sound/chime while scrolling through the menu, other than that it's perfect. ... show more
