    • Interractive Globe - An Absolute Must Have For Little Learners
I bought this for my 4-year-old granddaughter. She is enthralled with it all. I was positive that she would lean towards animal learning, as she is 4 years old and something of the subject matter they learn towards. To my surprise, she wanted to know about the different countries, different traditions, etc., and the animal subjects were last on the list. She loves to spin the globe around and scan the QR code with the tablet, review each subject, and take the quizzes. Sure wish this was around when I had my young children.     • Great product, despite some negative reviews out there.
This project has a strange mixing of extreme positive and negative reviews, particularly recently. Now, some of those negative reviews are due to people who are complaining without buying it because they say the earth is flat... so if that's your viewpoint, let's just say you shouldn't buy a globe but shouldn't be reviewing one either. Go review a map or something. But those aside, there are still some really negative reviews, which sometimes makes me skeptical of whether the positive reviews are real or if those people got it for free, etc. As a result, I was skeptical when I bought this, but my verdict is that I love it. And more importantly, our 6 year old daughter does. I know several reviewers have complained about the buggy app, so I think it may not work on as many different phones and operating systems as Shifu claims. I know I tried to install it on my daughter's "phone" (and yes, my 6 year old daughter has a phone but it's our old iPhone 6 with the SIM card removed that just has music and education apps installed on it), the app did NOT work correctly, even though the phone is running the current iOS version. However, I put it on my iPhone 8 and had NO issues finding it, installing it or using it. Considering our 6 year old can and does use my phone by herself to use and learn about various places around the globe, it seems to be designed to work pretty easily for most people. So I highly recommend it. I was a little skeptical about the whole "globe with no countries" thing that I've also seen some people complain about. I'm definitely not into new-age education (in fact I'm a college business professor), but I don't have a problem with it. I think the globe would be too busy if it had all the country lines AND the pictures on it designed to captivate kids attention. And when you use the app to learn about a place, you can see country flags and whatnot. Maybe in a future version it can show you the country boundaries if you want to see them, which would be nice. ... show more

    • Not optimal on kindle fire/tablet
So far this has been pretty cool however the app darkens the camera on our daughters kindle fire that it is almost unusable unless we turn a thousand lights on, even then it's spotty at best. Add on to that that it is very difficult to use with a tablet as displayed in the product photo because you need both hands to keep the tablet stable on the globe markers but then it's very challenging (especially for our 4 year old daughter) to click the items that pop up while also keeping it steady. Sounds like from other reviews, iphone and android smart phones are a better experience. ... show more

    • So much to discover, and so fun for everyone!
We got the Orboot for our (almost) 3.5 year old son. He is very interested in planets, animals, and dinosaurs, so this was the perfect interactive toy/game for him! It very easily syncs up to your tablet, and has so many aspects to it; this is not something that your child will finish in a day, or a week. The amount of information there is to learn, is incredible! There are games that work with and without the globe (which makes it perfect for car trips too, if you don't want to bring the globe with you!) For anything that you want to see/discover/learn more about on the globe, you just line up the star with the star on your tablet. It then pulls up really cool information on whatever thing it is. My son really loved figuring out what to feed the animals, by dragging different foods to it, and seeing if the animal ate it or not. A game that does not require the globe, is to help "re-stabalize" an environment, by adding or removing certain animals, plants, or weather. My husband and I ended up playing this part of the game haha! It was a lot of fun! Although the Orboot is too advanced for my one year, my daughter also loved seeing all of the animals, and listening to the music, so it was easy to have all of us play together. One thing I was not expecting, but was so happy with, is the Orboot comes with the CUTEST passport! It is pretty realistic looking, and there is a stamp for your kiddo to use for all the places they "visit". It also comes with a little booklet of stickers for boarding passes, flags, and major cities. We absolutely love the Orboot, and are so so happy with it! If you are looking for an educational, and interactive toy/game that the entire family can get involved with, I highly recommend the Orboot! ... show more
