  • Great Practice Amp!
Color: Orange
This is a great practice amp, and I'm more than impressed with its performance. The tones and music coming from it are pure and clear. Though it's only 12 watts, it gets incredibly loud while maintaining the crispness of the music. There's no feedback unless you have it calibrated oddly. It does both clean and dirty, making the most beautiful sounds. We upgraded to this from a Champ 15, and the quality of the sound from the Orange amp is so much cleaner (or dirtier - your choice. ;) ). It's compact, so it fits in my tiny house well. It's very sturdily built; for the low price, it's not constructed cheaply. And, the great cool orange color is fantastic! ... show more

  • Great, versatile bedroom or small space amp
As a guitar player of 15 years now I needed a small amp for my bedroom for recording purposes and just for those quick, out of nowhere riffs that pop up when you just pickup your guitar at random. Since my large equipment is in a place in the house where there is a lot of traffic with family I needed something where I could play my guitar anytime. This amp fit the bill perfectly. For a small, 6" speaker amp this thing throws out some loud, clear sound and I was pleasantly surprised. The gain and overdrive can be cranked up for a nice crunchy sound or keep them set low for nice, warm cleans that sound pretty good for solid state electronics. If you don't want to mess around with pedals for a bedroom setup like me then this amp is great for that. You will not get heavy distortion with this amp so if you're looking for that either look elsewhere or buy a separate pedal. I paired this amp with my TC Electronics Looper so I can stack up the riffs to create songs in small places. The amp itself seems well built and comes with higher end features like corner protectors and the ability to control the gain, overdrive, low, mid, and high range, and comes with a standard 1/4" input and a 1/4" headphone jack when you want to be really quiet or just listen through headphones. If you've never played through headphones I highly recommend it since you can really hear how great your guitar sounds. So if you're looking for a small but reasonably versatile amp for your bedroom or even to travel with this might be it. ... show more

  • Good practice amp. Great price.
Color: Orange
They did a good job replicating the Orange amp sound. Obviously it's not as good as their $1000 tube amps, but for the price it sounds really good, exactly how you would expect a Solid State amp from Orange would sound. Full mids, clean highs, it does lack in the low end but it's only a 6" speaker. This amp is louder than you would think. Things this amp is good at: practice at home, practice in a small studio, American garage grunge, Brit rock, Jazz, clean mids and highs, portability, jamming with acoustic guitars. Things this amp is not good at: practice in a large studio, live events (not even a small club), recording, beginners*, metal, low end is muddy. It's a small practice amp and that's what I bought it for and that's what it's good for. For $99 the build quality is really good. The only issue I have is the overdrive, and this issue is really only for my situation. The OD sound good at medium and high volume but you cannot get good distortion at low volumes. I have my amp in the bedroom and at the lowest volume you just can't over drive the preamp. So I'm either sharing my distortion with the entire house or playing clean. I'm probably getting a pedal to remedy this. However, the clean sounds good at all volumes and the OD sounds good at medium-high volumes. If you don't like the sound of Orange amps, you won't like this. If you own an Orange amp (tube) and want a similar sounding practice amp, you will like this amp. *the reason I don't think this is a good amp for a beginner is because it has a very distinct sound and requires some tweaking. Not something a beginner should be worrying about. On the other hand, it is very simple, but someone with no experience tweaking sound might struggle getting the sound they want. Edit: after owning the amp for a few weeks I was able to get some really good crunchy distortion out of it. ... show more

  • Good affordable amp
Color: Orange
The media could not be loaded. I like it, I’ve been needing a new guitar amp. I played “my own summer” by deftones, first without gain and then I added gain the second play through. I’m still testing it out right now, but it’s good so far. It’s def fun to play around with👍🏾🌸

  • Wonderful Peppy Lil' Practice Amp
Color: Orange
After having some issues with my old 20 amp solid state amp I used at home I decided to go with this little number. I was a bit skeptical at first and thought it might be a downgrade, but man have my expectations been shattered. Really good clean tones, and this thing can certainly be cranked a respectable amount. I've been using my own overdrive pedal in place of the overdrive knob on the amp, but having played around with it the crunchy sounds you can get are fun a usuable. Build quality is amazing, wouldn't expect less from orange. Played along side a friend using an old 10w practice amp and the difference between the two was night and day. Pedals sound great through this amp too. I'll be happy with it for a long time. ... show more

  • Great little practice amp.
Color: Orange
Decided to take up the guitar again after a 20 year hiatus. I bought an old 80's ibanez strat and still have a few pedals lying around. This amp is perfect for what it is, a practice amp and no more. I did some on-line searching and found out how to set for good cleans and decent dirty gain. No channel switching, but any decent distortion pedal solves that. Bottom line is it is a good low volume budget amp to practice/learn and not annoy everyone else in the house. ... show more
