  • Over Heats Before You Even Ride DO NOT BUY
I bought this bike and have only been able to ride it for five minutes at a time before it overheats and turns off. It turned off and left me having to walk an 80 pound bike home with no power. I purchased the extended warrenty however The customer service line always rings busy so i cant call and have sent several emails with no response. I spent all my money on this bike in order to use for working gig work and now i have a bike that doesnt work past 5 mins so its useless. Im out $500 and have no way to work and no way to even get help cuz the company doesnt return emails or have a working number. Im so disapointed with this purchase and advise others to be warned that this has been my experience. If the company ever gets back to me i will update my review but so far this is my experience with a junk bike and a junk company. It almost feels like they make it so immposible to get in touch with them that warrenty is will be void before you get help. It really doesnt inspire confidence. Thanks... Alfie UPDATE: Ok so a few things... when i originally posted this review I did not know that my cell phone does not make international calls >>>hence why the phone number doesnt work. This was my own fault. After a few days the company got in touch with me & determined the controller on the bike was bad. Within 3 days they had shipped a new one & stayed in constant contact with me until the problem was resolved. They walked me thru how to fix it although the switch was very easy. its basically plug & go. The woman who helped on Oraimo side was very nice & polite & apologetic and moved very quickly to help me resolve the issue. They Upheld the warranty and within recieving the part we had it in and running in less than 20 mins. So lets include some things about the bike i love: Easy assembly Has great battery life, I spent about 3-4 hours on this thing straight and still had more than half battery & I only had one running. Its a smooth ride with the fat tires. My only issues... Im short and you cant lower the seat much and the bike is kinda heavy... outside of that I love the bike...its fun and zippy and gets me where i need to go. Watch out on steep hills and give your self plenty of room to break and you will have a blast! I updated my one star review and switched it to five stars cuz it is a quality bike and the customer service is superb! Thanks Alfie ... show more

  • Love it. No regrets so far.
I've owned the bike for about a month now and am editing my review (initial review is on the bottom). The initial installation issues were annoying, but if you follow the video on the website you will be fine. The video does show that you have to turn the pipe for the handlebars around, the manual doesn't say anything about it. I've added a star, making it five stars now, because I'm having such a blast with this bike. It rides so smooth and it goes pretty fast. I just love feeling the wind in my hair (but be sure to get some sunglasses or something to protect your eyes from the wind). Several strangers have asked about the bike while I'm out, it really stands out. If you don't like attention, then you better come up with some evasive maneuvers or some excuses to avoid conversation. The pedal assist took a while to get used to. Initially the pedaling doesn't feel right, your legs just turn crazy, but you have to kinda just go with the flow, pedal slowly, cause there is barely any resistance. The bike carries you at the speed you pick (1 to 5) and you just pedal with ease. It's hard to explain, but you get the feel for it eventually. I first thought, well, guess I'll only use the throttle, but now I'm actually always using the pedal assist. I only use the throttle to get started, like at a light/stop sign, during tricky parts of a dangerous road or for places where I have to go pretty slow and/or steady. If you are getting this bike for exercise, just be aware that you might not get a ton of exercise using pedal assist. My Fitbit shows me in the below zones for some rides, other rides I do seem to get fat burn. My longest ride was 1h and my Fitbit showed I burned around 500 calories, which isn't bad. But as I said, other rides don't get me in the fat burn zone at all. It's still better than no exercise, though, and being outside is nice. A few remarks: -I hear a slight sound from the brake disc when I'm riding. You barely hear it, but we did notice this when putting things together. We figure it will go away once the brakes get worn in. Doesn't seem to affect anything. When breaking they do definitely make some sound, but to me that's not a problem, and I'm not sure what is the norm. -The handles have little platforms for your palms to rest on. It takes a while to get used to it or to find the best position for the steering wheel. -You can turn on both batteries or only one when riding. You do have to charge them separately, but if you only turned on one, you obviously only have to charge one. I don't go far enough to ever need the second one, and I always charge when I get back. Make sure to unplug when done charging. Don't leave it on charge until you need it again. - I was worried about my weight when buying this bike, because I am very heavy (350lbs). But this bike's capacity was much more than my weight, and so far I do feel like it can handle me just fine. Even on the few light hills we have in our neighborhood. Accessories that I bought and are useful for me: - helmet, definitely do this because it goes pretty fast and USA car drivers don't look out for bicycles and there's lack of safe bike paths. - bell (mine has room for an apple air tag so you can always see where the bike is) - bike bags plus basket - one mirror on the left, I know I know, it makes the bike a lot less cool, but it has been really useful to be able to see the road behind me. Meachow brand works nicely for me. - white front light and red back one plus more reflectors maybe, if you plan on riding in the dark. This is also the law in my state so check yours. - 2 locks, one chain to attach to things and one U-lock (mine has a vibration alarm). - gauge and pump to easily check the pressure and add some more air - Holder for your phone on the handle bars. Might not be something everyone needs, but I get lost easily, so GPS is nice. Customer service for this bike seems really good. I've read reviews and Facebook posts that speak highly of them. My experience with them so far is pretty good too. The only comment I have is that they called me 3 times in one day to leave a message telling me they would answer the questions I mentioned in my initial review and to call them if I wanted answers. I appreciate the lengths they go to help me, but 3 times in one day is too much. I think many people would find this annoying, but hey at least they really do seem to care about your satisfaction, which can't be said about many brands. So, final thought: I really love my bike. It gave me some freedom since I don't own a car, and it brought lots of joy so far. I hope it will serve me nicely for years to come. Initial review: I'm going to give this bike 4 stars for now. We had some serious issues putting it together. The manual contradicts itself in the front wheel installation section. I would suggest following the video for sure. We also had the added issue that the part that you install the handlebars in was put on backwards when they assembled it, so we had to undo the stem to turn it around. The manual also only gives very basic explanations on the workings of the bike, I felt it was very lacking. It doesn't explain anything about the 2 batteries, like do you have to charge them separately, do you have to switch the batteries or does the second one kick in when the first one is empty, how does the pedal assist work exactly... No explanations about anything. I tried the pedal assist on the first speed, and it kicked in almost instantly, but it made the bike go so fast that my legs were just spinning like crazy if I tried to pedal...I don't see the point. Maybe it needs to be on rough roads? I'm confused. But that being said I do really love the throttle-only mode. It's pretty fast, speeds up and slows down smoothly. It was an enjoyable test ride. Will update after a while. ... show more
