I'm confused that the product listing no longer shows the bench I ordered, but now shows some sort of deadlift cage. My review is not for that deadlift cage, its for a small bench with an adjustable backrest and removable preacher curl pad and leg curl/extension arm. Please see my photos for clarification. This workout bench is great. It's easy to assemble and sturdy enough for most home users. It's NOT as sturdy as the professional equipment you'll typically find in a gym, but those tend to be bulky and heavy, and this one is not. I liked, too, that they support both common weight plate inner diameters by using a post with the smaller diameter and then including a removable sleeve that allows you to use plates with the larger inner diameter. I was also impressed that they included spring clips in both sizes to keep the weights in place... that was a nice touch. ... show more

Suggests 3 people to build, I did it by myself in 2hrs. The wrenches they provide are crap. Pretty sturdy, I’m female, 5’7”, 138lbs and I tested some pull ups and it felt secure. The instructions are tiny! Had to take pictures of each page to zoom in to see more clearly. Great for the money, shared the link to a few people already ... show more

Sturdy steel weight bench with multiple options and supports up to 900 lbs. Comes with a -10 to 60 degree incline and decline backrest, preacher pad, V-shaped handle, leg extension support, 2” barbell holder, leg curl support, and resistance band support. This is a perfect complement to a freestanding weight cage or a rack. The downside is that this does not fold up as compactly given all the leg attachments. This Adjustable Weight Bench takes some time to assemble; but, it is not difficult. All parts are listed and numbered. I simply followed the step-by-step assembly instructions in the user manual. The bench is stable, sturdy. By adjusting the height adjustment tube, I can put the backrest into a declined position, level position, or 5 inclined position. No matter where I adjust the backrest, it stays in place reliably. I measured the barbell holder to have 7-inches of length for weight plates. So, I can add a 25-lb weight plate (2-1/2 inches thickness) and two 10-lb weight plates (each plate is 2-inches thick). Plenty of various weight plates I can add when I want to use the arm lever or leg lever. The curl pad is comfortable to use. The seat cushion is not as thick as I'd like; but, it's not uncomfortable to sit on. Lastly, I am 5'6", so the dimensions of this weight bench suit me well, without impeding any exercise routine (no restriction in range of motion for leg exercises, for example). Overall, with this bench, I can do a variety of exercises for my upper and lower body. ... show more

In the past 18 months I have had 9 different workout benches, Most of them benches I've reviewed from Amazon. How does this fit in? Well keeping in mind it is an under $ 200.00 bench - For that price category it really is pretty good. Pros: Sturdy - Good solid steel, Bench is almost too heavy to really move around (without wheels anyways), but it isn't, you can move it easy enough. Legs have a nice wide base to them - making the bench very stable, I also like the square tubing vs round tubing that some other use. Curling Arm ; It will really give you a good pump. I will not say it is 'better' than other curling methods (hammer curls, cable curls so on) just different enough so that you will hit your muscles differently, And with this unit you cannot cheat, Yes all the work done will be by the biceps. It does have a few minor drawbacks - see in cons; Backrest adjustment: I really like the system they use for adjusting the angle of the backrest, can easily be done one handed (or even with the foot ) both going up and going down. Cons; (Yes I get a little picky here) Padding: not the greatest, I really wish this had nicer padding that is my biggest disappointment. See photo of armrest pad, notice the wrinkles, this is how it came out of the box, and it does not seem to be smoothing out. And the padding itself could be thicker and denser - would make a big difference. Curling system. There is very little adjustment in the height of the armrest, so tall people like me (6'4") will find that you cannot get the full range of the curling motion with this, I end up about 4" short of a full motion. Also - typical of all systems that operate like this, the resistance increases as your curl progresses, to the point it may be very easy at the beginning and almost too difficult at the top. To compensate I put some weights (1" dia plates) on the upper leg pad bar, see photo. I am finding a two to one ratio gives me a very smooth curl with good resistance all the way thru (example 60 lbs at the bottom, 30 lbs at the top) And finally - the weight holder for the curling system really will not handle 45 lb plates, you can see in my photo I have 35 lb grip plates on it and there is barely enough room (circumference wise) Leg Extension: There is no height adjustment to the pads you hang your legs over - so for me I really cannot use it because when I lower the weights my feet hit the ground long before I finish the rep. If you are under 6; I do not think it would be an issue. Seat, the seat itself does not adjust, not really a biggie seldom do I ever change that on my other benches. So depending on what is important for you this could be a really good bench - especially for the price. Probably the best overall bench under $ 200 that I have reviewed so far. ... show more
