Description

The S.O.S. Strap "saves on shoulders" With its unique internal control-stretch system and tailored design that effectively distributes weight and absorbs shock of movement. It's the perfect strap for heavy bags and cases. The metal swivel snap hooks secure the strap to most bags and cases; however, they can be easily removed if the 1.5" (38, 1mm) webbing is the preferred connection option. It is now available in three versions. The S.O.S. Strap has 2.75" By 11" Neoprene pad with non-skid surface and 1.5" Metal swivel hooks and webbing. It's adjustable from 20" - 68" (50, 8cm- 172, 7cm). The recommended load for carrying is up to 30 lbs (13, 6kg). The S.O.S. Curve strap is the same as the S.O.S. Strap except that it has a slight curve to the neoprene pad allowing the strap to rest more securely on the shoulder. It is adjustable from 22" - 70" (55, 9cm - 177, 8cm). The recommended load for carrying is up to 30 lbs (13, 6kg). The Mini S.O.S. Strap has a slightly smaller Neoprene pad (2.25" By 10") with non-skid surface and uses 1" Webbing with metal swivel hooks. The Mini S.O.S. Strap does not come in the color nature. It is adjustable from 20" - 52" (50, 8cm - 132, 1cm). The recommended load for carrying is up to 25 lbs (11, 33kg).

  • Excellent strap
Color: Black Style: S.O.S. Curve
I use this strap for my carry on bag which is usually pretty heavy. This strap has a good range of adjustment and unlike my last one, I can make it short enough so my bad hangs around my waist instead of my legs. The strap has some stretch but not so much that the bag bounces when you walk. My only complaint is that the claps on the ends didn't open enough for the plastic loops on my bag. I had to grind some of the plastic off to get the claps on but I would definitely recommend this strap. ... show more

  • This is the best strap I've ever owned. Buy it.
Color: Black Style: S.O.S. Curve
Very comfortable. I can see why they say it seems to make the load lighter compared to other straps. One side has a soft smooth neoprene finish, while the other side has a grippy, rubbery surface. You can actually flip the strap buckles around so you can utilize either the slippery side or grippy side. I find myself preferring the slippery side. I liked it so much I bought an extra one. I use one on my maxpedition remora which I use as an edc bag, and also as a single point sling for a shotgun and rifle. Just get it. You'll be pleased. ... show more

  • surprisingly comfortable
Color: Black Style: S.O.S. Curve
To be honest, I was looking for another Eagle Creek shoulder pad, but since those are no longer made, I took a chance on this one. The wide neoprene pad spreads out the weight. When I initially put the bag on my shoulder, the neoprene pad stretches just a bit and stays put (the bag bounces, with the strap absorbing the weight). My bag is heavy, but the load is not bad at all. Good product. ... show more

  • Would have gotten a 5-star, but...
Color: Black Style: S.O.S. Curve
I've used this strap almost daily for about 4 months at work. I use it to carry loads outdoor in rain , freezing temperatures, and blazing hot sun.... loads as heavy as 30 pounds for several hours a day (but most loads weigh less than 10 pounds), and it is so far holding up well. It is also very comfortable and does its job as advertised. The only problem I have with it is it leaves a black stain on all my clothing (mostly on the back of my clothing between the shoulder blades) that requires pre-washing the stain with detergent and peroxide to remove. And even doing that, it's pretty hard to get out. So if you wear this with anything other than a black shirt or jacket, expect to have a noticeable black stain on your back and shoulder. Other than that, it's an excellent strap and I haven't seen any premature failure in the strap materials at all. The manufacturer should consider making a new version of this strap with even more neoprene cushioning and stainless steel hardware. Not sure there's much they can do about the staining. ... show more

  • What a great strap, but don't buy from CFXSDFKL. Read final edit 7/9/19
Color: Black Style: S.O.S. Curve
This strap is awesome! I carry a bag around with me everyday for work that is loaded up with a computer, books, and a bunch of other stuff. I've always endured pain after a while with the strap that came with the bag. Also, I've always been waiting for the plastic swivel clips to break. Here are the advantages of the OP/Tech S.O.S Curved strap: 1. I believe it's American made. 2. It has a wider footprint that disturbers the weight more evenly without inducing pressure points. (see picture comparison between SOS and stock strap. 3. There is a slight bit of elastic stretchiness where the strap connects with the main shoulder pad (on both ends, see pic). This feature is wonderful because it acts like a shock absorber relieving pressure when you walk. It's very subtle, but it helps. 4. It has metal swivel clips compared to the plastic ones on the stock strap. I'm totally confident now that the strap is not going to break (See pic comparison). Theses characteristics make the OP/Tech S.O.S. strap a superior strap compared to the competition. I have two bags that I alternate between. One is large and the other is medium and I'll be using this strap for both. It is rated for 30lbs according to the website which is more than what I normally carry (20-25lbs in the big bag and 10-15lbs in the medium bag). Don't hesitate to try this strap. I don't think you'll be disappointed. Edit: 6/27/19 What I thought was a feature of this strap (#3 elastic stretchiness) was actually a defect. The strap is falling apart right from the factory. Look at the last pic I uploaded. Both sides are actually like that. I ordered a replacement from Amazon. I'll see if that one is any better, but for now it's been bumped down to one star. Edit: 7/9/19 The seller "CFXSDFKL" is selling counterfeit straps. The two I received from Amazon from this seller are fake and they don't have the elasticity (controlled stretch) in the strap. Instead, the fake has some sort of thick paper that breaks apart under stress. I sent the two straps I received from Amazon back to the OP/Tech USA and they verified that the straps were counterfeit. They were kind enough to send me two genuine straps that are awesome! My original review applies to the genuine OP/Tech straps. Again, don't buy from CFXSDFKL at this time because their OP/TEch straps are fake. Get the original from OP/TEch USA or bhphotovideo.com. You won't be disappointed. ... show more
