    • Well built cameras
I usually don't write reviews unless I have used the product for some time. I bought the 16 camera ONWOTE system in May 2019. Still working like a champ today. I had a previous system that was cheaply built, and after a lightning storm here in Florida, it fried. It operated over coaxial cables. So I upgraded to ONWATE, with the PoE and it was a reasonable price with some good reviews. Packaging was nice and compact. Very easy to install. With the help of my wife I was able to pull and replace the old cables with the new ethernet cables that came with the system. We have a 3000sq ft home, and there was more than enough cable to do the job. Connecting all the cameras was just Plug-n-play. Setting up remote access over the phone was easy, dowload the app, and scan the QR code on the screen that's hooked up to the NVR...did that for the wife and kids phones also. The part I like the most, is how stout the cameras are, they are built solid, with one piece metal/aluminum outer shell, and great picture. It took a little while to adjust all the settings, getting the right sensitivity, setup the motion areas to prevent necessary recording, etc. There are still a lot of other features I don't use, like the alarms or email notifications...I just turn those on if we are on vacation. With 16 cameras I can monitor every angle around the outside of the house, and 2 in garage. I also installed the software in both my laptop and desktop. Once you have one setup just the way you want it, export the config file and import into the other...and like that you have both computers setup identically. The phone app is my favorite, I can be anywhere...as long as I have either cell or wifi, I can monitor the cameras...and having audio recording capabilities is a plus. I prefer using one of the computers to access the cameras, and review recordings. This system has saved me and my neighbor enough money to pretty much pay for itself...our HOA regulation mail boxes are about 300 bucks a piece, and between service, delivery and construction trucks, the mail boxes have been ran over a few times each...and yes, none were honest to let us know. But with the video evidence we were able to identify and get our mail boxes repaired. Hope my review helps anyone make the decision on their new camera system ... show more

Best cameras on the market and also the best customer service on market as well. I bought a camera set and couldn't figure out how to get the sound to stay on and they emailed me back very promptly and told me what to do to get it working. I will only buy cameras from this company because they won't make you wait weeks for a response from customer service like most companies do! And of course the cameras are awesome too very clear, no problems, grrrreat quality!😁 ... show more

Got this system for personal home protection. If you have any mechanical ability, you can run the wires install these cameras yourself. The mobile device interface is very easy to use for both live viewing and playing back previous recordings. The few issues that I’ve had were easily taken care of with tech-support. Very reliable wired system with great image quality and functionality. I had my mail stolen and wanted to put an end to it. Got this system and a locking mail box. I'm currently using 14 of the 16 cameras and have my entire corner lot covered. Can read license plates from about 25' when parked, a big improvements from my previous system. Motion sensitivity can be adjusted with a grid pattern on each camera and On Screen Display (OSD) shows you when motion is detected and each camera is recording. I'm always home now but the the system gives me a great sense of security knowing exactly what's going on around me. I am also using a split VGA cable so I can view the feed from a monitor in my dinning room as well as my office. A HDMI cable can be used to hook up to a TV or monitor as well. A wired system is much more reliable but can be difficult to install. I did run into a glitch where the system just wouldn't come on. Just on a wim I plugged an HDMI cable into my TV and the system came back on again. This happened twice and just plugging it into a TV solved the problem both times, couldn't explain why. But again super system and couldn't be happier with the sense of security it gives me. Note that the photo is the black and white night mode, the day time color is amazing. Rick ... show more

    • This is an OUSTANDING camera system
Aside from the time needed to run the lines and install the cameras, this is just great equipment, great value, plug and play. The operating system and manual are excellent, easy to use. Also, I have the cameras as far away as like 100m, and the picture is crystal clear. HOWEVER, on that note, the longest cables they send are like 100 ft. I had to buy two giant rolls of like 1000m for all of the cameras and my huge property, and I bought a high-end SHIELDED cable. I literally plugged the cameras in and they popped right up.     • THE DVR DOESNG WORK
I’m really sick and tired. The Dvr doesn’t work. It’s constantly turning off and not staying on. I’m so frustrated with these. Order than return this is painful

    • We have 3 of these. Love them!!!
We purchased 3 of these units over 6 months time. Everything was going great. Love the units. Then one lost all cameras. To make a long story short. I contacted them and I had a new replacement unit in 2 days. Great customer service!!!!

Overall it’s an amazing product . However I have to mention that my husband is and I T and Communication kinda guy. With that being said it was painless to install. Everything works well and we will probably look into add another 8 channels and integrated if possible. I absolutely love this product. You can rewind easily and listen to everything that was being said by whomever was around. You even have the option of communicating with the personnel,live, on the other side of the camera.
