    • A great watch repair kit!
I've been in need of a watch repair kit. I have too many watches to bring them to a repair shop every time for a battery. Buying this kit is cheaper than getting one battery replaced at a repair shop. If you have multiple watches and have some repair expertise, I'd recommend this kit. It came with most of the tools I needed to replace the battery on my Movado, including the press to snap the backing back on to the watch. This kit is really to open and close watch backings. It doesn't include the small hammer, or any other tools for taking band pins/links out. That's fine if you have a leather band, but if you have an aluminum band, you'll need to get another kit to remove those parts. To use the press properly on aluminum band watches, you'll need to remove a pin to properly get the band out of the way. If you're not good with repairing stuff, I wouldn't recommend replacing your own watch batteries. You need to be very careful not to scratch or damage your watch. Doing it yourself without general repair ability could result in badly damaging your watch. For cheaper watches, trying this kit probably makes more sense than going to a repair shop. I'd definitely recommend this kit if you have the ability, and understand what it does and doesn't come with. ... show more
