I purchased this for my horse barn. I use it to wash the horses and in the summer for our misters. We have extremely hard water. Our water would clog up our misters in 1 day and has almost ruined our portable propane water heater. This softener was very easy to put together and softened the water immediately. It's super easy to use and move around. The fact that it only takes 1 small canister of table salt is AWESOME! I am a full time RVer and have experienced long time stays at several parks with extremely hard water. I talked with a number of RVer's at a campground this summer that I was camp host and they definitely recommended a water softner and recommended this brand. It arrived yesterday and I installed it today. Super easy. Water tested very hard before hand (180 - 250 ppm) before installation and 0 ppm after installation. Installation took less than 10 minutes. Will try to report back after using it for a couple of months and going through at least two regeneration but for now very happy. ... show more

I recently moved to an old building in a city that pulls groundwater, and the first thing that stood out to me immediately was how rough the water was, especially on my skin/hair. A shower filter from Lowe’s wasn’t cutting it. I didn’t know there was a market for RV sized water softeners, but the size of this works perfectly for a tapping into a shower. Just get yourself a handheld showerhead, two hoses, and brass hose adapters. That way you can divert the water into the inlet of the tank, and connect the showerhead to the outlet hose. Works like a charm, and I’m so relieved to be using half the amount of soap as before and left with soft skin and hair. The first shower made me so happy I could’ve cried. Thank you! ... show more

We have a seasonal site with very hard well water that stained everything in the camper. Tested the water hardness with the test strips that came included and hardness was over 500 ppm. Hooked it up easily and hardness dropped to under 40 ppm. Excellent product so far. It even kill the smell of the water. Hence the 4 star rating.
