  • Was sent wrong microscope twice
The first order arrived and it was a binocular microscope, no camera, no usb, no usb connection, no place to put a camera. So we sent it back. Second time we got the same microscope, binocular no camera, no usb, no place to put a camera no usb connection. So as idiotic as it seems, I am waiting for my third order on this trinocular microscope with camera. I would give you a negative 5 if I could because what has happened is fraud. Let’s see what happens. Third times a charm? ... show more

  • I think they should check the quality of the product before sending it
I saw some bad comments regarding a black point but I thought I would have more luck, but no, it has a black point on the right lens but even worse is that when you put the 100 lens it has many small points in more than half of the field of vision in the 2 lenses, I will definitely return this item

  • Decent Scope, Middling Service
The scope itself is a decent beginner. It worked like a charm right out of the box. However, my scope came with a scratch on the light source housing which shows up as a dark smudge at certain focus levels and numerous attempts to contact OMAX support have not been fruitful. The only contact I've had from them is several automated emails notifying me not to contact Amazon if I have an issue, which threw some red flags to be sure. I'm still enjoying my microscope so I can't give them too much flak, but I wish that their service was a little better. ... show more

  • Don't buy this for the camera
The microscope is just fine, but the camera and the accompanying software are very poor quality. If you are buying this to be able to record images, don't. The quality is poor and the software is not user friendly. You will spend a significant amount of time just trying to figure out how to use it just to realize that it is simply crappy software (which is fitting, because it is a crappy camera). I am using it on a Mac. Maybe the PC software is better, but the camera itself isn't very good. ... show more

  • I CANT TRUST THIS BRAND
The mechanical stage wobbled. I had to tighten the bolts from the inside of the neck. after having given an instructional page for the defect. Then when all was done, the 100 OPTICAL EYE piece and the oil immersion DONT work at all. Very frustrating. QC for his wasnt done. It left the factory without no one signing off on quality control. I hope they get some work on this operational piece, otherwise it could have been GOOD. ... show more

  • overall good instrument
I am basically hapy with this microscope. Now that I've figured out how to use it well, it is easy to use and has reasonable quality. There is no instructive documentation that comes with it, so it took me a while to figure out how the camera connects to the software. When th USB connects, the camera does not show up as a device on the computer. It does show up as a device in the provided software. By clicking on that item, the canera connects to the software after you tell it that i's ok to use your computer's portrait camera. After that, it shows what you are seeing through the microscope, except that the field of view is less than that seen by eye. Once I got it all working, it is serving my needs very well ... show more

  • Good all-purpose scope
Have been able to use for a variety of typical clinic purposes and am overall very happy with the scope. Veterinary clinic setting for fecals, cytology, and trichogram evaluations. Would not say the camera is publishing quality but serves the purpose we need. Also a huge thank you to the customer service reps at AmScope - I was sent the wrong MP camera initially and they quickly rectified the problem and got me the right camera. ... show more

  • Performs well for the price.
I've been using this microscope for a few months now and am very pleased. The picture isn't perfect and the illuminator isn't great, but I'm able to capture quality photos with the third objective fairly easily. The build is all solid and everything works as it should. Camera was easy to set up. Only major complaint is that there is a small dark spot on the camera image. ... show more
