    • Ordered 2 boxes of lights and each box has a different remote

The lights are bright and look great, however, one of the sets will not stay steady and I've tried everything which is SO frustrating, as I don't want anything but steady lights. Also, very odd that each box I ordered came with a different remote. One box had an "LLNY" labeled remote, the other box came with a "Golden Power" remote that is completely different. LLNY has no numbers on it, the Golden Power remote does. Update: the company sent me a piece that attaches the power chord to the lights, but it didn't fit properly, so they did try to help. Numerous times, I unplugged the set that wouldn't stay on the steady light setting. The remote still did not work to keep the lights steady, however, I did realize that there is a button on the box that is attached to the power chord. I pressed it a few times and finally got the steady light setting. I've made a note for next year to only use the remote to set the timer on the lights. Originally purchased these in November of 2021 and we strung them up around a giant old tree in front of our house. Having a single 262 foot strand made it a lot easier than connecting multiple strands, and the fact that these LED lights don't plug into little sockets like a typical strand meant that it was easier to wrap around the bark of the tree and not worry about things catching or falling out. The lights were warm, bright, and easily controlled with the remote, and we were quite happy with the 2021-2022 season. When removing Christmas lights for the 2022-2023 season, we unfortunately found that the whole strand had gone out. We couldn't find any obvious issues - I checked the whole strand, and the adapter box - so it's possible that the adapter box or some single piece at the base was faulty. Bummer that a single failure could take down the whole strand, but we reached out to Ollny about their 1 year warranty, and their customer service quickly got back to us and was happy to replace the whole strand. The second strand worked really well too, and I'm really happy with the customer service overall. Hard to say what that fault may have been, but I'm happy to see a brand stand by their product and their customer service, and I'll continue to buy more lights from Ollny in the future because of it.     • They look great BUT you can see the red and blue lights that together make up the purple lights.
Overall, this product is great and it looks as advertised. It looks great in my home and adds a truly calming, mysterious aura to the space. However, I do wish that the string was clear instead of green; obviously, the green string is very easy to see and it is not as pleasing to look at as clear string. Clear string would greatly improve this product. Also, you can see the component red and blue lights which together make up the purple color, and I wish those component colors were not visible. For those reasons, I gave this product FOUR stars instead of FIVE stars. ... show more

I used these on my front bushes and they looked great. They were on an auto timer and provided great lighting. However, they stopped working after about a month. Get the protection plan. Hopefully, it will protect you against faulty lights.

Overall LEDs just aren't as bright as traditional lights, however, the cost savings and durability makes them appealing. I found the cost of the strand length to be excellent and, while not as bright, it was sufficient and ushered in the Christmas season for us last year. However, I went to put them up for their sophomore season and they are a joke. Like, literally, I'm making several exaggerated jokes to my family about them. I rolled them up and had them covered all year. I put them up without issue, but when I plugged them in I found they were dimmer than a northwest fire fly (we don't have fire flies in the northwest). If you get real close, and there is no moon out, and all the lights are out... And complete overcast, and if you get within six inches of the bulb but don't look directly at it in order to maximize the use of the low light cones in your eyes, then you can see a brilliant flicker... And by brilliant flicker I mean a hint of a dying light. So, you'll want to limit your expectations if expecting consecutive years of use which is a shame because, for their first year, they got the job done. **UPDATE** The suppliers issued me new lights and were easy to work with and overall very accommodating. The new lights look as good as they did last year and are still holding strong. We'll see how they do next year. If they do well, I'll increase the star rating. As is, they get a bump from 2 stars to 3 stars for great customer service. ... show more

Lights were used outside to light a backyard worked for 3months non stop then went out . Contacted customer service and they were very helpful and replaced the lights at no charge. Lights have a 1yr warranty. Would definitely purchase again.
