  • Great product with great pricing
I have purchased for one of my friends son on his birthday. I got a call from them after a week and they thanked me how it kept his son busy. The build quality packaging is top notch. And so is the pricing. Great value for money

  • Good building instruction manual; app reviews abysmal
I am looking forward to building/playing with this with my 6 yo grandson. Yes, he’s younger than the suggested age, but he’s built a lot of legos and I bought this for use as a project to do together. We haven’t finished it yet - we just got it and it is going to be our Saturday morning project. These are things I like so far: - pieces and directions similar to Lego. - 635+ pieces so enough to keep us busy but not too much to be overwhelming. - robot has a rechargeable battery via usb charger (included) - LOVE that it comes with thick, about 100 page instruction manual for how to build the robot. Therefore, it has big pictures and only a few steps are shown on each page. This will be helpful for both of us but especially so for my 6 yo grandson. Things to note: - pieces are organized in bags but I do not find any references to the bag numbers in the directions. I see the first pieces called for in the instructions in bag 1 but can’t tell at this point if bags will be used in order. This would be helpful but we could still do it if not. - remote uses 2 AAA batteries. You need a small Phillips screwdriver to open the battery housing but, thankfully, this is provided. - seller states that it can be used via remote or app. I looked up the app on the Apple Store ( Mould King) and its reviews are abysmal so it looks like we will probably be using the remote. This would be disappointing as I was hoping the app would simulate coding for my grandson (however since we haven’t even built this yet, I can’t really tell what will happen). I will update when we get to that point. At least the latest update for this app was done 5 days ago. So far, with the exception of the app reviews, I am encouraged by what I’ve seen. Time will tell if it is worth the price. ... show more

  • Adorable angry remote control robot building block project : easy to build, remote works great!
The media could not be loaded. AImubot Robot STEM building block kit for ages 8-12 is a lot of fun both to build and to pilot with the remote control. The kit has 635+ pieces of normal Lego sized building blocks. It took about 5 hours to build the robot. There were no missing pieces. The full color 106 pages of instructions were clear. I appreciate that each numbered step has 1-3 blocks to add which was easy to follow. The kit includes a remote control which requires 2 AAA batteries which are not included. The robot has a built in rechargeable battery and comes with a charging cord. The robot's battery must have been pre charged because the remote control worked immediately upon completion of the robot. The robot is adorable 😍 He has a red bow tie and blue reflector eyes in the sun. He has expressive eyebrows that change based upon the direction his head is facing: angry robot shall conquer the universe eyebrows, puppy dog in trouble sad eyebrows, or neutral “thinking” eyebrows 🤣 He is about 11 inches tall. The robot has tank or tractor treads instead of wheels which makes him stable and able to get over small obstacles easily, like moving from hardwood floors onto an area rug and back again. He is noisy on hardwood floors and quiet on carpet. And he is fast! The dog does not like him. At. All. The remote control controls his head direction/eyebrows, go forward, go backwards, turn right , turn left, spin in circle right or left. His lower arms are manually posable and he has a movable rubber thumb that helps him hold small objects like pens, dice, and his charging cord. Closed, his hands are open about a quarter inch. Open, his rubber thumb extends to 1 ¼ inches. There is a button behind each elbow that will open and close his hands as well. He has a floor level shelf thing behind his rear treads that helps him with stability and where you can store the remote. We plan to get him a small tray so we can send him up and down the table to deliver small objects during gaming sessions or big dinners. There is a QR code that you can download that will allow you to program movements. I have not tried that as I am leery of downloading unknown things onto my phone and the remote works great. But I might try it at some point. We are enjoying our angry robot and highly recommend him 😀 ... show more

  • Great For S. T. E. M. Time
I got this for my 7 year old son who loves brick building and remote control toys. This was a winner as he could build it himself and then control and play with his creation. Easy to follow instructions, kid friendly, great for learning and fun.

  • Fun for the child, not well-made
The parts used to assemble this robot feel like what they are, which are knock-offs of a more expensive, well-known brand. That part is okay. They are not as sturdy or as well-made. That part is also okay. The robot does allow the child to put together something that is cute and provides an interesting STEM experience. The child will then probably relegate the robot to a shelf, or give it to the parent as a gift, but who cares? It was fun to build, even more fun if you build with the child. ... show more

  • Assembles like legos, will need a device to operate
So this robot assembles much like the lego concept - the pieces snap together but they're still fully customizable. A tablet/phone is required to use as the remote, but the kids construct their robot solely hands-on which is nice. I got this for my 11 year old and he had a ball constructing his robot. Great toy for making him think through steps. Highly recommend! ... show more

  • Expandable possible projects.
This is a neat kit. There are a ton of parts but the instructions are so detailed. The pieces use a standard size common for these types of kits and I was able to fit them on this motor from a different company's set. So if you have other similar sets, this could be a really expandable project. The motor has a lot of space for creativity, so you can tear it down and make something else. Super cool. This also contains small parts, I would use caution with younger age groups. Adult supervision may be required. Suggestion is kids 8 to 12 but could be for older age groups as well even adults. ... show more
