Love the look of this desk. Only issue was this piece that goes on the back. It was missing a hole that wasn’t drilled in. And there were two screws missing in the package. The only option was to send the desk back for a replacement which was to much work since this was one of the last steps. Fixed it by just drilling through it but if you don’t have a drill there is no other option. Other than that it looks great ... show more

This was my first time building any sort of furniture. The desk turned out great. All I suggest is PAY ATTENTION to where all the holes are during setup. It will save you lots of time. Go slow and you won’t have to redo it. Finished product is great. Definitely worth the money!

Was very excited about this desk. Love the style and great quality. New job so needed to set up an office area fast. Not hard to put together, instructions simple. One pivotal piece of the actual desktop had holes drilled in backwards. Contacted company right away for replacement part. No Response. Will update if they resolve issue. UPDATE!! Amazon helped me email a direct line to seller on Amazon, not on their site. Response was immediate and they sent a whole new desk for my inconvenience. I love it! It's beautiful, will be sturdy enough for what I need and matches my dining room table which is right next to my new office area. Spoiler Alert -- This is a long review. Bottom-line: this desk should never have made it past their quality control, assuming they had one. Very poor quality. Too many parts. Very difficult to assemble. The desk was returned to Amazon. This desk has way too many parts and a very complicated set of instructions -- 26 major parts (desk top, frame, shelves, etc) & almost 100 fasteners. The desk top alone is three separate pieces. For comparison, the new desk that I ordered has a single piece desk top. There are 16 complicated assembly steps. Also while putting it together, it wiggled too much and we realized that this desk would not be stable because there are too many connected parts. At step 5 of 16, we discovered that several of the pre-drilled holes in the particle board shelves were too large. Screws could be hand inserted and could not tightened. I replaced those screws with longer ones as a workaround. At step 6 of 16, we discovered that the main support and connecting bar did not align with the one of the two frame ends. It should have been a flush joint but was not. See photo. That meant that the main desk board would also not be flush with the rest of the desk top. We stopped at this point, while I emailed the manufacturer to see if they could rush ship a replacement bar (as well as shelf board). Grandson & I decided that we should continue assembling to see what other problems we'd run into. We discovered many other problems. There were so many problems that I decided that we were unable to fully this desk and that we should return it. See short list below. -Mounting holes on the frame parts were either missing or drilled on the wrong side of the frame. Some holes were missing threaded inserts. So, machine threaded screws could not be fastened. -Main/center desk board could only be fastened (screwed) with 3 out of 4 spots. One spot had no corresponding hole on the fame. -Side frame cross support for single self end could be connected to one leg only. The opposite leg did not have matching holes. The holes with screw inserts were on the wrong side. See photos. -Main frame cross support that goes across the back side of the desk could not be connected. Frame leg on one leg left was missing the threaded screw inserts. Frame leg on the opposite had no matching holes. The threaded holes were on the wrong side. See photos. -Top shelf was actually a two-board assembly which did not add to the desk's stability. In fact, it made it worse. In the end, both of us were totally frustrated, angry and very disappointed ... especially me, because I had to disassemble the whole thing and re-package it for return. It was a wasted long day!! For comparison, the desk that I got to replace this one has a fraction (literally) of the number of parts that this one has. And has a fraction of the number of assembly steps. And appears to be far more rigid/stable. Background info: I purchased this gaming desk for high school age grandson' s birthday. My daughter picked this model mainly based on its design. I always have grandson assemble his gifts with me. It's life-lessons involving "sweat equity" that I hope will make him value his gifts more and enable him to take better care of them. We follow the instructions literally & even do a detailed parts inventory first. We have experience assembling furniture, having put together his full size day-bed that had a very complex mattress support system. In fairness to the manufacturer, they eventually responded to my email. They did offer to either fully refund my purchase or send me a replacement desk and without me having to return the desk that I'd purchased. It has the perfect dimensions for my small room. It is sturdy enough to hold my 12 lb tv via a swivel mount without issue. All the space in the world for a full tower PC like mine. Space for your books on the left side which I took advantage. I can't give it a five stars because I had to buy a sliding keyboard tray and made other modifications. It was perfect and exactly what I needed. As someone that never builds anything, assembly took me about 2-3 hours. Some advice would be to pay CLOSE attention to the holes in the instructions to prevent having to unscrew and start over. Sometimes I would just have to guess if the instructions were unclear. ... show more
