    • I would give it 5 stars, but stitching & clips are a PoS.

The stitching on this is a PoS. The canopy gets droopy without any support, which is to be expected. I was simply trying to get a snug fit to solve this with some hidden clips and Velcro, and the canopy ripped like a paper bag. The fabric is a decent blackout, but for $200, the stitching should hold better than a wet napkin. If you have a sewing machine, I suppose it would be salvageable, but for the rest of us, it’s going to end up in the trash, with a bad review, and a competitor to replace it. Also, white plastic clips are most useless, and I don’t like the contrast (white? seriously?). I wish they offered clips in different sizes (black should just be the baseline), since bed frames are not all going to be perfectly circular poles. Attempting this with knots is a fool’s errand that will end with scissors and tears, unless you have a Boy Scout or Martha Stewart to help. I gave up and used black zip ties (surprisingly ideal), but the canopy is a lost cause without a sewing machine. Thankfully, there is gorilla glue for fabric that dries clear. For $200, it shouldn’t have to be that janky, but it’s not like there are many alternatives, so, this is what you’ll be facing. ... show more

    • Not sturdy but ok structure

I only bought the frame as I wasn't impressed by the reviews on the canopy fabric, but it cane in this gigantic box. But the frame was in its own cardboard box INSIDE. This can be shipped on its own, so the extra box was a huge waste of material. They shouldn't do this. The frame pieces were well organized and it was easy to put together. But I could tell right away that it's not very steady. I put a very lightweight canopy on it for now until I can get blackout curtains (about the same cost but much better material). I hope the curtains balance the weight of the canopy well enough. It's a cool idea, but the metal is pretty light. And it's not as tall as the pictures look. So, you can definitely use this in a bedroom with 8 foot ceilings. Fingers crossed the curtains aren't too heavy! ... show more

You have to be super careful when you adjust this and the cords that go across the bars to help support the skirt on the top, you have to really roll around the bar or you'll have a long string dangling. Also if you pull too hard on the top skirt, it will rip super easy. Unfortunately I didn't get curtains for all the sides of my bed like I thought I would which was honestly annoying. They only give you four curtains but I think some people like me like front and back being covered too if you want complete darkness. Other than that it is a very beautiful canopy cover, but the price is a little steep. ... show more

So i got the frame and the blackout curtains. The frame was a little confusing but i got it figured out. It takes time to assemble and make sure your room is big enough. Once up, it looked pretty good even without drapes. Then the drapes. Augh. I really wanted to love it. I was so pumped and hung them with the super cheap curtain loops which will break when you put them on the bed, but then i noticed the light sneaks through the sheerness in the curtains which is literally what these are supposed to NOT DO and then the top is droopy ! I ordered it for a queen so idk why its so huge but im bummed out. U def cant see IN but not all light is blocked out. It looks like a damn magician lives here now too. ... show more

This is just what we needed, but it’s not 100% lightproof like a blackout curtain. It does provide privacy since it’s not very sheer, maybe 85% lightproof. Something fun for my kid’s bed that makes them feel extra cozy and safe
