    • Great for upper abdominal hernia

I really like having a hernia belt that will cover my upper abdominal hernia. So many products are for lower abdominal hernias or umbilical hernias. This belt would work for any of the 3 main types/locations. I know I need hernia surgery, but now just is not a good time. I kept having my hernia push through the opening when I would go to lift something, cough or sometimes just lean over. I needed compression and support. This 3 band hernia belt gives me the support I need. One complaint I have is that sometimes the space between the bands leaves red marks and I have to take it off and put it back on a little looser. This design works great if you have hips that are bigger than your midsection. You can attach it at an angle vs having the velcro go straight up and down - I tried that was and it kept rolling up at the bottom, so frustrating. But... angling it makes all the difference. Another thing to note, the velcro is very strong! That's great for its ability to stay in place, but not good if the underside of your clothing catches on it. I would recommend wearing either a long tank top or undershirt over it to protect your clothing. To wash it, I attached the velcro to the belt, put it in a mesh lingerie bag and washed it on gentle cycle. No fabric softener!!! Then hang or lay flat to dry. Make sure you take it off when you go to sleep to give your skin a chance to breathe. It you're putting on lotion, let the lotion soak into your skin well before putting the hernia belt on. Well worth the $20 spent for support I desperately need until I'm able to have surgery. Would recommend and would buy again! *i bought one for my father - he has a hernia too - and he said his gives him great support especially when he's working in the yard! He has the 4 band, I have the 3 band. Oh, a happy added bonus - it also makes you look slimmer! Definitely a nice feature 😉 ... show more

Choose size wisely. If you are larger than 40 inches choose the 60 to 75. This pulls hard. I am a 44 and to make the small one work was too tight. To pull 6 inches made it difficult to breath. The 45 - 60 is realistically a 35 to 50 to fit and be safe. the 60 to 75 worked great for me I cut off 8 inches and have a snug, breathable wrap. Get a larger size and cut it down if need be. That said it works great. Really stabilizes dislocated ribs and adjust to give breathing as you need. Highly recommend. ... show more

I wasn't sure what I was buying, took a chance. Ivevtrird so many Hernia wraps, Belts, mostly uncomfortable or cheap. This is probably the most comfortable, firm fitting but soft ive ever owned. ,I could sleep in it. I had colon cancer in 2017, along after I had Hernia surgery. I've been looking that long for a belt that really holds up. I really think ur gonna like this Belt. I'm 5'4".. And went with the 6 inch width. Love it. I was really on the fence about getting a binder for after my hysterectomy. I was really anxious and wanted to be prepared without spending a fortune, and a lot of other binders were really intimidating. This was my happy medium. I'm one week post op and this binder has been an absolute godsend! It keeps my belly in place, my posture straight, but without feeling like I'm trapped or unable to move. Everything feels perfectly supported. I've even slept in in a couple of times when I just couldn't bear to be without it. The velcro does pill the fabric something fierce. However, my post-op helpers found this very useful in measuring my swelling. They could give me feedback on my progress depending on how my binder fit each day. The biggest downside is I still cannot for the life of me get this on by myself at this stage post-op. I absolutely must have help, and I now understand some of the more complicated looking binders with all the straps. I have no regrets with this one, however. It was absolutely worth the money spent for the peace of mind I had before my surgery and the comfort it's given me afterwards. 4 Week Update: It's still holding up strong. I bought a second one so I could wash one and wear another. I really recommend keeping the velcro cover it comes with for washing purposes. We've washed on gentle cycle, air dried, and both have handled continuous use well. I still need help putting it on, even though I'm recovering very well. I stand firm in my rating, though. I am 34 waist male, no big gut but fairly straight profile. Purchased the “ 4 panel 30-45 size” item. Fits great for me! Just had Hipec/CRS surgey - if you’re not familiar: that leaves a 34cm/ 13 inch vertical incisionstraight over front of my belly. High risk for hernias and just general risk/ soreness in incision. This is a blessing allowing to do more moving than without, helps difficult toilet visits requiring pushing. Conforms well to my body and i do not feel any discomfort at incision staples Planning to buy a second one for atrategic location in house during recovery as i dont want to wear all the time It’s pretty breathy i think but my incision needs most air time available Highly recommend Arrived quickly and as expected in new condition ! 👍👍👍 ... show more

The Compression Wrap gives good support. It's almost like wearing a girdle! LOL! Which is good... I know that dates me. The velcro is holds firmly & may not want to let you go when it latches on.
