I built a pc with this card specially for virtual reality. It performs great, I’m 100% satisfied. Although...This was my first, from the ground up, pc build. If I had to do it over I would consider changing only two things that I learned after the fact. The mother board and gpu. If you’re looking to buy this gpu, it’s worth your time to check out ( EVGA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti FTW3 Ultra Gaming, 11GB GDDR6, iCX2 & RGB LED Graphics Card 11G-P4-2487-KR https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07KVKRLG2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_.H7PCbQ2Z71GV ) About the same cost, but through my research I’ve found it out performs the founders edition a little bit. But I think we’re comparing Lamborghinis and Ferraris here, both are super cars. All my parts except for the case, I ordered off Amazon so it was easy and fast. Again, I’m super happy, I have built a rocket ship of a pc that has no problem running vr with the Samsung hmd odyssey. but I wish I’d of found the other info before I ordered. Mother board and gpu. I should of went with a gen 9 msi gaming board instead of a gen 8 for the cpu. I ran into a bit of trouble ( my own fault for not reading the fine print). But with a quick update to the bios it fixed the problem and I was up and running. unfortunately I had to buy the cheapest 8th gen cpu I could find (8th gen i3) to do the update in order to use my 9 gen i7. Not a mistake I will be making again anytime soon, it cost me an extra hundred dollars for 10 minutes of use of a CPU lol. • Works Perfectly for Price
A lot of hate comes with the new RTX series graphic cards because of the price it carries. I’m not a wiz at knowing the ins and outs of pc hardware but I do know well enough performance per cost. The RTX 2080ti performs wonderfully for any game I play on ultra/maxed out settings without any drops in frame rate or stutters. Yes this includes Minecraft (sarcastic), for the price it is powerful indeed. People seem to bash it when they aren’t able to afford it which isn’t bad at all but if you are able to afford it, it’s worth every penny. It doesn’t output much heat at all, I have a nzxt x72 cooler installed with this so maybe it helps more then an x62? Regardless, most of the complaints I read from other reviews baffles me and performs much better then my old 1080ti. ... show more

  • Don't count out the Founder's Edition cards
With only a minimal loss of performance compared to the ROG Strix OC and Gaming X Trio, the nVidia Founder's Edition is worthy of consideration. Pluses: smaller form factor, tends to run cooler, super solid build, no useless led bling. Minuses: louder than the Asus and MSI cards by a fair margin, priced a little higher, only two cooling fans. If space in the case is a concern, the FE only takes up two slot widths, whereas the competing top end cards take three (two and a half really, but you can't use half a slot, normally). It's also not as long, only 10" compared to the 12" of the others, or as tall, only 4.5" compared to the 5.5" of the others. ... show more

  • DO NOT BUY
Spent over 24 hours trying to get this thing to work properly. Through my research a lot of these have faults in the board that makes the card crash along with whatever game or freeze your screen and force a hard reboot. There are also better GPUs out there for cheaper.

  • Card performs well but a bit noisy
Card came in good condition considering it has been used before. Had to change the fan speed settings for the card once I booted up into Windows using MSI Afterburner. Other than being a bit noisy under medium load, card performs as expected.

  • EXTREMELY FAST! This card is a beast
THis card can run most everything on Ultra settings at 4k resolution. It can't run at a fixed 60fps on ultra though on every game sadly. On Metro Exodus with Ray Tracing high + DLSS it comes VERY CLOSE. It has drops below 60fps but it's good enough for me. I'd rather keep the settings high rather than turn down the eye candy. If you want to play in 4k on ultra at 60fps you will have to wait till the next generation of cards comes out. Overall I am VERY HAPPY with the card. It is VERY EXPENSIVE though and that makes me sad. The seller on the other hand is EXCELLENT. I had a question and the seller got back to me in 1 day. I am VERY PLEASED with this seller. If you want to game in 4k on high or ultra settings there's no other choice. ... show more

  • "Game changing"
I've never been one to buy top of the line cards. Usually I buy a previous generation when I can get a deal. Recently I've been very into a first person game (Mordhau) and while I was playing on a 144hz monitor with a 1060 card, things felt zoomed in or constrained. I read an article comparing 16:9 to 21:9 ratios in games, and realized I was missing out on a lot of screen landscape. I picked up an ultrawide monitor and had to get a video card upgrade to go with it. I think I can safely this video card exceeds my expectations. I'm not a benchmarking enthusiast, but having a G-Sync monitor I am able to play the most current games on the highest settings with no tearing or frame drops. The 21:9 ratio has breathed new life into many of my old games, along with being able to take advantage of all the lighting and textures that previously were sacrificed for performance. I'm sure a day will come when this card ages out, but I feel like that will be years. With the price tag, I had some buyers remorse while it was shipping, but after some tweaks and setting things up I couldn't be happier. ... show more
