  • This is the one!
Color: Black
After a few tries with different brands, this one is the one. As described, this works with active pickups (it may require that you use a 1/4” TS extender to move the transmitter away from the internal electronics) Purchased on 8/7 and used the same day at a gig, (Thanks Amazon Overnight!) and it worked flawlessly with no noise and strong signal. Very easy to setup, as it hunts for a clean channel on its own, and pairs itself. I currently use with two Ibanez basses (4 and 5 string) as well as a Sire Marcus Miller 5 string. All have active pickups. The Marcus Miller has humbuckers with a toggle switch. All were completely noise free. The charging case is awesome, as I can just put the tx and rx units in the case during the band break, and never have to worry about not having enough juice to last the night. This alone justifies the additional cost. I use a 1 foot male to male 1/4” patch cable along with a 1/4” female to female “gender changer” to move the transmitter off the body (see picture). I used a little gaff tape to secure the transmitter to my guitar strap. This is definitely the more expensive option of the inexpensive wireless systems, but this seems to be the best performer in my opinion. ... show more

  • Good product, simple setup
Color: Black
Works great for simple gigs and practice, the price is worth it when you consider you won't be tripping on cables or wondering where the short in your cable is. I also am very happy with the case charger. They go back in the case after a show and stay charged for the next show.

  • NUX B-5RC 5 Stars!
Color: Black
I received this product in perfect condition. My initial thought was how clean and inviting the packaging itself looked. Then, once i opened the box, i was met with an extremely nice zipped up case that also had the hidden secret that it was chargeable through the case itself with micro-usb. I was shocked at what the case alone looked like in my hand. So then i unzip it and open the case to see two wonderful devices neatly plugged into the case and ready for me to start using. I wanted to be sure that they were charged, and the indicator on the case said that they needed a little more time to be fully charged. So I plugged them in to power through the case itself. You can also charge the individual nodes with the supplied micro usb Y cable that allows you to charge both devices at once, away from their case too. Great feature. So, with them charged, I plug them in. A very nice and secure fitting for both pieces. I decided to turn my amp up loud and walk into the other room, approx 20 feet away, and sit in my recliner to test it out. I expected lag. I expected connectivity issues. I expected all of the worst because it seemed too good to be true. But, from the very first note on, there was no lag. No latency. No connectivity issues. And, certainly, no disappointments at all. I was thrilled with the entire experience. Would I buy these again? Absolutely! They're a blast for me and they let me lounge while playing now! What's not to love! Great product! ... show more

  • I’m a career musician. These are decent.
Color: Black
I bought these 2yrs ago and probably performed over 400 shows with them. Here’s the break down. 1. Charging case (still in great shape, was transported in pedal board). Very convenient. Small profile. 2. Range: recently range is much less (like 5-10ft) but initially it was good for about 15-30 ft out of the box. Good for sound checking when you’re the sound guy too. 3. Interference: This wireless system won’t work with certain guitars. I had an infinity matrix system it didn’t work with. Not necessarily interference but certainly undesired signal dependability. 5. Battery: initially solid for a 4hr show. Recently good for 1 hr set. 4. Overall- I’ve had a gang of wireless guitar systems. I gig 4-5 times a week and as far as bang for buck /reliability goes , this is a great product. Big bang for your buck. I wish the range was better/and I wish it wasn’t starting to tap out now, but after that many gigs it’s safe to say this thing has paid itself off. Recommended ... show more

  • Nice and Very Convenient Wireless Guitar System!
Color: Black
I bought this based on the reviews I read and some Youtube videos. I've used in two gigs, a couple of rehearsals, and in my studio. So far I've been very happy. It's very easy to set up and use. Power up the transmitter and the receiver, hold them together, and you're done! A guitarist in one of the bands I work with has the same system and there were no conflicts during the two gigs. It has some range, and sounds very good. It's advertised to work with active pickups and it works as advertised on my Fender EC Strat and Takamine TAN15 acoustic. It doesn't work with my Ovation acoustic though. Not exactly sure why. Not a game changer. So I'd actually give it 4.5 stars if that rating existed. I'd recommend this system. ... show more

  • Weak Batteries!! Save your money
Color: Black
This is exactly what I needed, but there are a few issues. First lets go over the Pros. They are easy to use strait out of the box. The case is durable and great looking and I didnt have any problems getting started. As stated the case can charge these about 3 times and they should last for 4hrs before needing charged again. I have had these for less than a month at this point and have used them from full charge to depletion only about less than 10 times. The sound quality is great and I have only tested out the pairing distance up to about 25ft. No degradation of signal, although my active pickups had a bit of a noise issue. Now the Cons. The case itself needs charged and can take up to 2hrs to charge. My real issue began to surface almost immediately. I noticed the transmitter side used up battery alot faster than the reciever. At first I was getting about the 4hrs out of them, but now after only 10 or so charges the battery life has degraded down to around 20 MINUTES! I found myself going back to my cables way to often to account for the price I paid to be wireless. I bought these expecting a great solution as per other reviews that I read, but I am a bit dissapointed with the longevity of the product and will probably be trying a different system that can last longer. In short save your money and go for something that can last alot longer if you demand more play time. ... show more
