  • This is the one!
Color: Black
After a few tries with different brands, this one is the one. As described, this works with active pickups (it may require that you use a 1/4” TS extender to move the transmitter away from the internal electronics) Purchased on 8/7 and used the same day at a gig, (Thanks Amazon Overnight!) and it worked flawlessly with no noise and strong signal. Very easy to setup, as it hunts for a clean channel on its own, and pairs itself. I currently use with two Ibanez basses (4 and 5 string) as well as a Sire Marcus Miller 5 string. All have active pickups. The Marcus Miller has humbuckers with a toggle switch. All were completely noise free. The charging case is awesome, as I can just put the tx and rx units in the case during the band break, and never have to worry about not having enough juice to last the night. This alone justifies the additional cost. I use a 1 foot male to male 1/4” patch cable along with a 1/4” female to female “gender changer” to move the transmitter off the body (see picture). I used a little gaff tape to secure the transmitter to my guitar strap. This is definitely the more expensive option of the inexpensive wireless systems, but this seems to be the best performer in my opinion. ... show more

  • Best Wireless for the money
Color: Black
Stop scrolling thru all of the different wireless options because this is the one you're looking for. No latency, no channels to mess with, no sound loss on clean tones, battery lasts 6 hours straight, the case recharges them at the push of a button, the jack angle is flexible but still strong enough to stay in whatever position you put it in, all of it is made out of great material (no cheap plastic), the transmitter mutes at the touch of a button so you can switch guitars or pedals etc, the light color indicates battery life left, and the receiver has a vintage cable tone at the push of a button if that's your thing. There is no better option out there for the money. Ditch the cables and grab one of these, I'm telling you that you'll be recommending them to everyone. ... show more

  • Least obtrusive wireless ever!
Color: Black
Having used wireless units for in-ear, vocals and bass/guitar for years I have good systems and marginal ones over the years. I had been using a modern Line 6 G model but having to tote a pack for each back pocket (in-ear is a must for me) actually forced me to go back to wire on the instrument. This unit being small enough to fill half of your palm, and plugged in/located at your input jack seemed to best possible solution. I was skeptical after reading all of the issues that people were having with guitar electronics and interference. My 45 year career in combat systems electronics easily figured that the frequencies generated in a floor pedal unit would have some harmonics that could interfere especially in the local proximity of the units. Rather than plug my receiver into my ME 80 floor unit, I put my in line tuner on top of my amp, and the receiver unit of the NUX into that unit's input then on to the floor. My first test run was a flow blown jam night that we host, lots of players with all kinds of amps and guitars, etc. I played guitar all night (3 45min sets) on a single charge to the NUX units. Not one night, but two on that first charge. I just ensured that they were turned off between sets. Another wonderful aspect of this design is on breaks, you call both units, fold them up and they both fit into your jeans front pocket. Your wireless goes where you go! In that same session I was able to get 40 feet separation while shredding on an LP w/Seymour Duncan JB passive pickups without signal degradation of any kind. Pros: Super lightweight, easy to use, micro-transportable, very nice charging station, the units fold in half! Cons: None, except that in bar/lounge light it's hard to tell the trans/recv units apart - lol that's on me. Lost or broken, I'd buy another set. The synch with each other in seconds once activated - you have to do nothing. ... show more

  • I’m a career musician. These are decent.
Color: Black
I bought these 2yrs ago and probably performed over 400 shows with them. Here’s the break down. 1. Charging case (still in great shape, was transported in pedal board). Very convenient. Small profile. 2. Range: recently range is much less (like 5-10ft) but initially it was good for about 15-30 ft out of the box. Good for sound checking when you’re the sound guy too. 3. Interference: This wireless system won’t work with certain guitars. I had an infinity matrix system it didn’t work with. Not necessarily interference but certainly undesired signal dependability. 5. Battery: initially solid for a 4hr show. Recently good for 1 hr set. 4. Overall- I’ve had a gang of wireless guitar systems. I gig 4-5 times a week and as far as bang for buck /reliability goes , this is a great product. Big bang for your buck. I wish the range was better/and I wish it wasn’t starting to tap out now, but after that many gigs it’s safe to say this thing has paid itself off. Recommended ... show more

  • Good product, simple setup
Color: Black
Works great for simple gigs and practice, the price is worth it when you consider you won't be tripping on cables or wondering where the short in your cable is. I also am very happy with the case charger. They go back in the case after a show and stay charged for the next show.
