The media could not be loaded. So very disappointed! For the price this should’ve been made a lot better. Does not come with any caps to block out light in unused inserts. I’m not new to the world of hydroponics. This is my 4th and largest system. I’m absolutely disgusted how much it’s leaking EVERYWHERE! Just want to be able to grow strawberries and salad greens for my family since times are getting scary. I would have just purchased another Gardyn at this price.

The product design is definitely intended for indoor use and the internal components are sound. The system functions as a gravity supported NFT system that uses gravity to move water and nutrients from the top down. The initial packaging was pretty good however I never received any of the seeds with the growing media that was provided. So I needed to purchase some, however that is not really that big of a deal. The construction was fairly straight forward just ensure that the clips are properly orientated so that the tower is as solid as it can be. The instructions need a major overhaul, there were multiple typos and some of the construction concepts were difficult to follow. However after building out the base of the tower it is simply rinse and repeat until you complete the top. I do like how modular the design is, I opted to go for the 80 cup design and I could scale down if I ever wanted which is nice. For the price point I would like to have seen a little more attention to deal with the execution of materials that comes with the tower. While all the components seem to be working fine right now, only time will tell to see how they hold up. I would also like more information in terms of the growing of the plant material - such as nutritional requirements, lighting, and timer settings. I am transplanting my product today and will post an update whenever I harvest the first crop.

Leaks everywhere, zero customer service, you’d better put a weight on top of its outside and if it’s inside I hope you dont intend on using that room due to the massive amount of noise. If you notice all the marketing pictures are of plants growing out of a prestine white fixture. Not reality. It leaks EVERYWHERE every seam build up an algae goo that streaks down the side. But at least it’s a pain to fill and monitor water level (can you sense the sarcasm) if you buy this, you WILL have a wet floor. You WILL have wasted money on supplies. The design for a FAR superior 3D printed tower is available for free online if you’re into that kind of thing. But Amazon only has s 30 day return on these so by the time you’re done thinking you did something wrong and tinkered with it. Welp, you’re out of luck. Don’t buy it.

A great idea poorly executed. This company dropped the ball on the 5-yard line. As I was assembling the tower, I could tell it was going to be a nightmare to maintain it. I've had the not-inexpensive 80 pot system for just 10 days and the water pump failed. Had to order more pumps from Amazon or risk losing all 80 plants. The pump failed because the tiny 5-gallon water tank went dry and the pump burned out. There is literally no way to check the water level of the tiny 5-gallon tank without lifting the entire tower (seriously?!). Nor is there any way to easily add water or nutrients to the tank. There is simply no way to access the water tank of the tower. This is an incredible oversight or just sheer designer incompetence. This tower is also not suitable for outdoor use. The entire tower has blown over twice and broken into dozens of pieces in medium Jacksonville Florida winds. In addition, the top lid just sits on top of the tower with nothing securing it. Not surprising, it turns into a frisbee in 10+ mph winds. I just don't get it...was there no-one at the company that did Quality Assurance testing prior to releasing it to unsuspecting buyers? Very disappointed.

I am on my third pump. The water evaporates after 4-5 days max and kills the pump. It does not drip evenly so some get waters and some don’t. I have been even misting and the plants will only grow about 2 inches. Lots of work and no reward. Tried food in water and different types of seeds, no food produced. If you want mine I will send it to you.
