  • Has Seemingly Transformed My Dogs Vitality
I started giving my basset hounds this product a few years ago upon the recommendation of both their long-time veterinarian and that of a canine oncologist, whom I had asked what preventative steps I could take to reduce their chances of getting cancer. I did not expect to see any great, immediate changes in my dogs' behavior or outward health. However, within two weeks of using it, I was truly amazed by the difference it made in their energy, vitality, and over-all wellness, especially with regard to my older dog. His energy level shot through the roof and he started acting like a rambunctious two-year-old again (he was about six or seven at the time). My younger dog responded in the same way, but it was especially marked in my older dog. In the time my dogs have been on it, there have been some occasions when I have run out of the product for two or three weeks at a time; at such times, I have definitely noticed the difference its absence makes. Especially in my older dog, I see a definite reduction in energy, playful mood, and endurance when I stop using the supplement for any substantial length of time. I have recommended a trial of this product to various family and friends for their dogs after seeing what a positive difference it has appeared to make in mine. The one caveat I will add is that -- as with most fish oil supplements, I believe -- some dogs with digestive issues like GERD may have problems tolerating it. My older dog is such a dog and so I only give him about half of the daily recommended dose of the product or I skip days between doses if he starts having issues with burping, reflux, etc. Even though my younger dog has no such GI issues, it is simpler to give them both the same amount of product and that is what I do, so I cannot speak for the effect of the full, recommended dose. However, this reduced dose usually is tolerated by my older gent, and his behavior seems to indicate that it is still enough to make a quite remarkable improvement in his outward health and vitality. Nutramax seems to be a responsible company and seems to project a sense of integrity that also helps me to feel more hopeful that the product is well and responsibly sourced and manufactured. I hate the fact that so many pharmaceuticals are no longer USA-sourced and I definitely would seek the products of any domestic company whose standards are of high quality. I am hopeful this is the case with Nutramax, as my dogs seem to have done so very well with this product. ... show more

  • Miracle Oil for My Hemophiliac Foster Dog’s Skin and Coat!
As a foster parent to a hemophiliac dog, I am always on the hunt for supplements that truly make a difference in his health. My vet recommended Nutramax Welactin Omega-3 Fish Oil and it has been a game-changer! Within a few weeks of adding this to his meals, I noticed a dramatic improvement in his coat—it’s softer, shinier, and no longer dry or flaky. But it’s not just about aesthetics. Omega-3s are known to support overall health, and for a dog with hemophilia, every little boost to his immune system counts. The liquid formula is so easy to administer—just a quick pour over his food, and he doesn’t hesitate to eat. The bottle also lasts a long time, making it a fantastic value for the price. It does have somewhat of a smell after a while. If you’re looking for a high-quality Omega-3 supplement for your dog, I highly recommend Nutramax Welactin. It’s made a noticeable difference for us, and I’ll definitely keep it as a staple in his care routine! ... show more

  • This Works and Helps Our Dog's Joints
Our dog has issues with the ligaments in one of her hind legs. When it flares up, she noticeably limps or simply wouldn't use the one leg. Our Vet recommended this product and it noticeably works. We do NOT feed her with kibble dog food as that seemed to make things worse for her. Our Vet recommended several dog food products that also improved our dog's issue but adding Welactin made her start running around like a young, pup - She's 9 years old. Her coat has benefited as well. I can highly recommend this product. We were buying it from the Vet but found Amazon's price and the size of the bottle to be more cost effective. ... show more

  • Easier movement and softest coat!
We started our dog on this after our vet recommended it due to his age and tearing one ACL (he has since torn both poor guy). Our dog LOVES this stuff. We call it his drizzilicious and he gets so excited when he sees it. We noticed improvement in his stiffness and mobility when getting up within a month of starting it. From what our vet told us, this is also excellent for brain health and we’ve definitely seen massive benefits in his coat being softer and super shiny. The product arrives sealed each time from our auto-ship order. Highly recommend, especially if your pup is a bit older in age. We’ve seen nothing but positive changes! ... show more

  • Vet Recommended
Bought for my aging dog with a skin condition as it was recommended by my vet. He said he gives it to his own dog too. She loves the taste & it's helpful for overall body health. I use a napkin to catch any drips on the bottle after pouring. I haven't found it stains anything as 1 review stated. It seems to help my dog. It does have a fish oil smell so wash your hands after pouring & that takes care of it. ... show more

  • Better than expected!
I decided to try this product for my two miniature pinchers, for different reason for each dog. My older dog has developed dry flaky skin and had medical causes ruled out by our veterinarian. Within two days of taking this, the dry flaky skin had essentially resolved and after about a week, her hair is once again smooth and shiny, like it was when she was younger! My other miniature pincher is young, but is a front leg amputee and my veterinarian recommended fish oil as a joint supplement to help prevent issues with arthritis down the road. I’ve used fish oil capsules with other dogs before but was hesitant to buy a bottle of oil, as I wasn’t sure about odor and didn’t want to deal with any messes pouring it. The bottle sits on my counter, and there is no odor in the kitchen. The cap is leakproof and requires you to squeeze gently for the oil to come out, so is mess-free. My dogs absolutely love the taste of it. ... show more
