I got this to be able to carry my insulated water bottle to bed each evening while using my crutches because my crutches don’t leave my hands free to carry anything. However, I can see it being useful when out on a walk or hike, something I hope to be able to do again in the future. It’s well padded to keep your drink hot or cold I imagine. My distance to carry a drink is pretty darn short so I can’t really give that part a rating. If walking or hiking, I’d wear it crossbody. For my purposes, I just hang it around my neck for the short distance I have to go. The first time I used it and pushed my bottle all the way down, I had a dickens of a time trying to figure out how to get it out to place it on my nightstand. Doh, just push up from the bottom. I have a very large insulated water bottle that I put on my nightstand each night. If you have something smaller, it might be overkill. ... show more

This holder is great! I really like the material of it and overall size. It doesn't feel too bulky and can hold my phone and keys. My 24 oz Owala fits with no issue and so does another water bottle. There's lots of versions of these on the marketplace for a little bit cheaper, but what I liked about this one was the sturdiness of it. My personal items + water bottle feels secure. I love this! I've used it so many times, I'm thinking of buying another. The fabric is sturdy. It holds my water bottle snuggly so there's no slippage. There are a couple of small pockets for key fobs and chapstick. The drawstring cover conceals the cap from weather damage.

I have a 32oz hydro flask and this holder is a lot smaller than expected. I had to remove the bottom accessory of my hydro in order to slide in my bottle. Also, the holder was so tight around my bottle that I did not have room to put my phone in the small front pocket.
