I used this patch on the rear bench seat of my 2009 Taurus. It was easy to apply, very "workable". as in melded to the seat curves and stitching just fine. As for wearability, will find out with time. I cleaned the pleather seat well with leather cleaner, then alcohol, going beyond the area of application. The media could not be loaded. We have a small massage chair that gets a reasonable amount of use. Apparently the pleather on the chair isn’t up to the movement of the rollers in the chair. It has torn in 4 different places over time. I bought one of these patches when I saw the 1st tear. I didn’t have much hope of it holding but the price was good so it was a small investment to try it. Now 3 yrs later the first patch is still holding and I’ve used a patch on the other 3 tears. Edit/update; Seems ok now, the patch is in an irregular spot on back of my (bike) backrest, I also had not cleaned the area first with solvent or alcohol. I cut and applied another patch and stuffed a rag under the area that had previously peeled away as a means to apply pressure on the new patch, and just checked it after a couple of days, and is seems pretty firm. It's summer here in AZ (june) so the highs are 114f + -. Another issue worth mentioning is that in order to cut straight patches requires marking first, and using very sharp scissors, as they will want to meander and cut offline otherwise. My patch didn't seem like 3x4 inches at a glance when opening the package, so I'd measured and found it to be; 2 3/4'' x 4''. I only needed a 3/4'' x 2'' patch, so after my second patch attempt, I still had plenty of spare product if needed. This patch is for my 2009 Electra Glide Harley and it visually blends in quite well with the leather of the backrest that I applied it too, in both color and grain. I was contacted by seller, offering to make concessions which I declined, but very much appreciated them taking the time to do so, I added a star for that effort, and consideration of how the second patch attempt is performing. If I need to patch in the future, I will likely buy this product again. Original review; Looks great but doesn't stick well as mentioned. This patch is from yesterday it's was 114f + - at the hottest point of the day, the patch had several hours to set up before the heat of the day, and the bike was not in direct sunlight. I had pressed on the patch vigorously for several seconds before leaving it alone. This am, I checked it and the underside had lifted perhaps under it's own weight, as that part of the patch was somewhat upside down. Some type of 3rd party adhesive might be in order. The patch does look great though, much better than gaffer's tape, duct tape, or bailing wire. lol ... show more

Color and size is good but the adhesive could be a little stronger. The spot we needed to cover is on a slight curve so a more aggressive adhesive would keep it secured a little better. It's fine.

I’ve used this for several ‘repair’ projects… to resurface the inside of some boot heels that I had scraped up pretty good on chair/stool rails, to cover and restrengthen a hard case suitcase that was cracking around the handle, and to cover the bottom of a golf bag that to had cut open for ‘enhancement purposes’… I find it to be obvious faux leather, but perfect for my projects :) ... show more

We purchased this product 5 years ago to patch our leather couch. The beige didn't match our beige couch, but that's partly due to age. Be sure to take this into consideration when ordering for an older couch. While the original one I ordered was beige, more recently I ordered antique (the other side of the couch needed a patch), which looked notably darker. The antique was closer in shade but a bit lighter than expected, so coloring seems to be an issue. The original patch is still in perfect holding condition; not even the edges are coming up. We do cover the couch, but like any cover it's always being pulled every direction, so kudos for holding power. Well coloring may be tough, it certainly has some good lasting power. ... show more
