Love the ice and how quickly it makes ice. Only downfall so far is that it is a little louder than expected. Noise level is about the same as a dishwasher. Overall I am very pleased.

    • Fast, efficient and delicious ice
The unit has great aesthetics and is very easy to get set up. I love the fact you can plug an RO water line straight into the machine and it will auto-fill the reservoir. We've made 20lbs of ice so far with no issues. Very impressed by the speed it can crank out ice once it gets cold.

I was really caught off guard when this machine came, it was so much bigger than I was expecting. I wasn't sure that I even wanted to keep it, but my husband we aren't sending it back! I do not have a lot of counter space, so I had to re-arrange some other small appliances that are already on my counters. With that being said, I do like this ice machine. It's been easy to use and I am enjoying my Sonic ice!! You can hear it when it's on, but to me, I don't think it's all that loud. To me, the first "batch" of ice seemed to take a while to make, but since then, it doesn't seem to take as long. I am enjoying this machine, but do wish it was a bit smaller! ... show more

    • Terrible support, amazing ice
I used the machine with zero negative things to say about it for about 2 days before it started making the loudest grinding noise I’ve ever heard from an appliance. It was so loud that I moved it to the laundry room so we could sleep and that was enough so I had to move it to the garage. I read the troubleshooting in the manual and even emailed support because it was making may half a cup of ice a day and it was just making the worst sounds. I got no response. I decided to try to clean it and I have figured out the trick. If you drain and add new water every time the clean button comes on it will work perfectly. ... show more

I was super excited when my husband purchased this for me! I looooove nugget ice. It was packaged nicely, no dents or anything (usually experience that with large dentable items) Waiting the 2 hours like it says was the hardest part of it. As soon as added water it was making ice super fast! It’s a little louder then I expected but not terrible. Ran into issues about a week after got it and they sent out a replacement as soon as I provided a few pictures! Glad he bought from a company with great customer service. The big con with this one is that it has a high shrill tone when making ice. My wife might still make me bring it back because it bothers her. But the machine has worked pretty well. We had a problem at first with the ice thinking it was full. But we emailed customer support and got a message back that let us know we need to make sure the bottom of the chute didn't have any stranded ice cubes. It has worked OK since but if this problem persists it might be annoying. I would recommend this over the GE Oval which I had and returned because it stopped working. ... show more

This is the perfect ice making machine. The tiny ice pellets are soft, just like the ones you get in the hospital. So glad I discovered this. I eat tons of ice every day!
